Hi, I’m Lao. I create travel content to help people discover Cambodia beyond Angkor Wat, its countryside, local communities, landscapes, and places that deserve more attention.

I’m now committing to travelling more widely across rural Cambodia. My aim is to do more than show you beautiful places: I want to help you understand how to visit them, what to experience, and how to connect one destination to the next.

Alongside my Instagram and TikTok content, I’m committing to creating long-form vlogs for YouTube, sharing more of each journey, the people I meet, and the practical details that help you plan your own adventures.

I’m making this travel information available for free, so more people can explore Cambodia with confidence.

Why I’m asking for your support

With tourism demand currently low, I’m not earning enough to cover the travel this work requires. Exploring destinations, gathering useful information, filming, and editing all take time and money.

I’m currently using a DJI Action 3, kindly gifted to me by Travel with Chris. It still works really well, and I’m grateful to keep using it on my journeys. With a generous $400 contribution from Millennium Destination, I’ve also recently purchased a drone costing over $1,000 to capture Cambodia from a new perspective.

More travel across Cambodia to explore destinations, document experiences, and share practical advice.

A dirt bike and protective riding gear to reach more remote countryside locations.

Newer camera equipment, including an Insta360 X6, to capture more of my journeys. Any support towards these upgrades would be greatly appreciated.

A more capable MacBook for editing longer, more demanding videos. I currently use an old MacBook Air, which makes editing painfully slow.

Building something useful for the future

I’m creating a lasting library of photos, videos, vlogs, and destination information that can help future travellers discover more of Cambodia. Along the way, I want to encourage responsible travel and bring attention to local guides, small businesses, and community-based tourism.
