Operation Eagle enters final phase days 9-12 afyer crossing Hadrians wall which I show in two photos I took twenty years ago showing the remarkable topography of the chosen site and my mother 5'2" demonstrates the highest surviving section of wall we found at around six foot = for centuries locals took the stones to build or mend housing, only in recent times have we had the Ancient Monument mentality
After Durham where I met new friends I drove to Kirkstall abbey Leeds and met a Yorkshire lass who fabulously bought me supper and a pint of golden local brew ๐บ๐ย
Hoping to return last week of October!
I slept in Norfolk and had a tremendous day with a friend and family at Bressingham Steam as you see including choc cake!! ๐
Then down to Ipswich where Army of Shadows (TheDrift) and I cleaned up the Fat Cat beer festival! The stouts and porters are always particularly notable here and Titanic Plum Porter proved a stalwart ๐บ๐บ Deep plummy hops
๐ง๐ง Next day after a hearty supper of cheeses, Suffolk ham and rabbit patรฉ we explored the town to the docks

Next morning, Bank Holiday Monday, I travelled to Kent and practiced an hour at St Dunstans as I hadn't in two weeks, a brief flurry in Bressingham, nowt more, then performed ๐น an hour at Appledore Flower Festival to great acclaim! More glissandi ๐ผ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ than any church has a right to, frankly
Kentish cider is pink! Back to school with fine sunsets and my mileage (includes two teaching days) was 2424
I brought wines from Wales for autumn and โ๐ฝ๐ฅ here you see me back to work writing reviews at my desk! I had a wonderful 12 days and altho no eagle was sighted I played sax on Mount Eagle in the Black Isle above Inverness ๐ท๐ฆ ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ
