Dear Hypernovas,
Since my announcement, I've received kind messages and concerned reactions. I am truly touched but also figured I need to put this clearly once and for all where those interested and in need of clarifications should see it. So, immersion breaking time.
Since the inception of "Kuroshiro Nova," it was always the intention of the "me" behind the screen to separate this persona from my self. It's the biggest part of why "Kuroshiro Nova" is a Vtuber. In an interview, I said I likened myself to "an actor," the Vtuber persona is a "mask" I don, like how you are a "different" person in a professional context, but here it's as an "entertainer." The persona is an outlet for my creative endeavors. What parts of the "me" behind the screen seeped through and were infused in the persona, you may try to guess at, but you'll never truly know, and that is intentional.
When I say "someone else will take over the channel," it means a new persona will take over; however the person behind the screen remains the same.
This was always going to happen; as a creator, I always intended to have more than one character on the channel. I've always tried to maintain transparency over the channel's future, and that is why I made this announcement.
I will not mind nor ever begrudge you leaving if you do not like this new character; however I'd be grateful if you gave her a chance, just like you did Nova.
Nova's chapter may come to a close, but the adventure continues. Consider this as the ushering of a new season with a new cast. It may not be to everyone's taste, but it is the creator's will and choice. And in a world where you're constantly told what and who to be, I value being able to choose here.
Again, I am grateful to all of you who decided to give Nova a chance. And thank you, for encouraging and caring enough for a random nobody on the internet to watch what they're doing and reaching out to them.
P.S. My apologies to the followers who'll receive a new mail from me so soon after the last one. It was a failure on my part if my first message was not clear enough. Please be assured I'll only send an email for important updates pertaining to the future of the channel like this, and don't foresee sending new ones any time soon.
