"Betty" in the wild!

Since purchasing this beautiful and rugged truck on April 14, 2026, I have been all over Windsor County and beyond for the river work that I do. She's lugged garbage bags full of junk, educational tools to teach people about river bugs and stream dynamics, buckets and shovels and loppers and my weed wrench to plant native trees and pull introduced invasive plants...she's run errands to pick up supplies, hauled kayaks to get out on the water for dragonfly safari adventures, and more.

She's currently loaded with the weed wrench for some invasive shrub removal in Chester and a fishing magnet and rope to try to pull up some junk that's been tossed over a stream bank in Cavendish. On Friday this week, she'll be full of garbage again, hauled out by some pirate-themed cleanup crews in Springfield!

Every donation and subscription helps me pay the loan for this sweet truck, and keep her in top condition. I intend to have her undercoated in September and have some side steps installed so I don't continue to beat up on the inside door jamb climbing in. I'm also looking into some low-cost pragmatic ideas around stopping or sealing the clear-coat before it peels any more on the hood and roof, to protect against rust.
