Help the bees

Help the bees

Apr 25, 2025

Honey bees are taking important resources and shelters from native bees and pollinators. Unfortunately most and biggest campaigns about pollinators and saving them are focusing only on honey bees (which are expansive species) and forget about wild pollinators which are far more important! Wild pollinators often are specialsed in specyfic types of plants. Honey bees uncontrolled expansion endangers other species and may lead even to dying populations both of wild pollinators and their specialised plants that are codependent on their exsistence.

Thats why I'm starting support for wild bees from my own garden and surrounding.

In the last month I started preparing my field for a flower meadow. My goal is to create a perfect place for wild bees and support their survival with ensuring they have enough plants for their specyfic species and a good spot for shelter and breeding.

As for now I've already prepared a small patch of ground and planted flowers like Erica carnea, Phlox, Saxifraga rosacea and more. I've set one shelter for bumblebees for now and homes for wild bees will be prepared soon along with other resources important for their survival
