It's always good to get creative with my hands. Most of you know, I am inspired by ordinary iphone/cell boxes and matchboxes. The irony of taking a discarded item and turning it into a sturdy room boxes approximately 1:144th scale makes me a little giddy. This one is nearly all prepped and ready for details and furniture elements to be glued in. Still to come, torchiere lamp, stool, chair, faucet, bedroom window. This is a bedroom/dressing room for a young girl. Pinks and purples were requested. Will be adding some science-y items, picture of Madame Curie and some other fun more personalized things. Look closely at the vintage, micro, micro articulated doll with HAIR on the bed. Her arms and legs move! She was created by a woman almost 50 yrs ago. I have been blessed with several of them and 2 of them will be placed these room boxes for sisters, ages 5 and 7, who need something special to make them smile whenever they pick it up.
