Start everything with why

Start everything with why

Jul 22, 2024

The good Leaders aren't necessarily the smartest people in the industry but the people who inspire the majority, pursue their gut and believe in their Why.

There's something called the Golden Circle, it consists of three important components, and it serves as a guideline to know if the company is doing well or not. Here, there are:

Why: the cause behind what are you doing, it's primordial to identify it at the very first. When you understand your why, people easily follow you and they remain loyal to you not because they have to but because they want to.

How: concerned all the actions, strategies, and plans that executors manage to make this belief tangible to others, it can be products, services, or any other thing that people can have access to.

What: the results of hows: the product, the Service that people can buy and you can also consider the money as a result because it's one of the most important Company's aims.

Each company dreams of growth and success but just 4% of them achieve that, probably you asked Why? So let's find out.

Many companies focus on what instead of Why, which means that they focus on developing their features, qualities, and services using many ways of manipulation like price(promotion), fear(your feeling of losing something if you don't buy), endorsement of ads by showing celebrities using their products but these methods are so fragile that they can't help with long term results (loyalty of the clients who share your beliefs and think that your products represent them ).

The second problem that most enterprises struggle with is after the company achieves a certain level of growth: the inventors (the leaders) start to get away from what's happening inside the business so the employees forget their Why, the reason why they come to work every single day consequently the Golden Circle is out of balance and the why is getting fuzzier and fuzzier without noticing so it's important to implement your cause and belief in others so whenever you go, there's someone who is going to pursue your path, who believes as you do, he has no other vision in the future other than yours, he aims and visualizes the same thing as you do so no need to worry about it anymore.

Maybe, you did wonder how can you know if your why is still clear, happy to share with you the answer: there's something called the Celery test, to help you understand, take the example of someone who aims to help people get healthier so buying healthy products, being healthy, give guidelines how to decrease weight are going to represent his cause but any other behavior that defeats his belief is going to make people confused and not committing anymore to buy his products.

The last but not the least, identifying your why is crucial without ignoring the hows and whats because it's what makes beliefs real.
