Thanks to everyone who has supported my photography on Buy Me a Coffee. It means a lot. Between car repairs, broken cameras, and high gas prices, the costs of storm chasing are not getting any cheaper.
It's hard to believe that it's been 3.5 years since releasing "Upslope Flow," my last time lapse film about storms. That was the first time I ever saw my work on a big screen at the local film festival (https://www.wyofilmfest.org). Over the last few years I've been shooting more time lapse clips than ever. But some form of editor's block prevented me from completing a new storm film when I thought I would. This winter I finally sat down, reprocessed dozens of clips, found a soundtrack, and put together all the footage.
My upcoming film will contain all the extreme weather I've captured since 2018. Compared to Upslope Flow, it will be faster paced and nearly twice as long. The short movie will be a compilation of more than 20,000 images, captured across 7 states, over 3 storm seasons, all with 0 dusts spots (yeah right, lol). Entitled, "Of Vapor and Wind," the full film will be premiering next weekend. But until then, here is a short teaser trailer.
