Apparently the price of postage has gone up YET AGAIN, which is putting a damper on my plans to get involved by writing letters to prospective voters in swing states.
Right now a single stamp is up to 73 cents… a sheet of 20 is $14.60.
Now, spending about $15 to reach voters isn’t outrageous, but I was kinda hoping to do some numbers on this project between now and the mailing deadline in October.
So: I am humbly asking if it’s possible to get some kind souls to chip in a few dollars here and there to help buy stamps. If not, I probably won’t be able to do much beyond a small batch or two, as it’s going to get cost prohibitive for me in a hurry.
If I manage to end up with more than I need, I will donate the surplus back to Vote Forward, which is the organization I’m volunteering with… or possibly help buy stamps directly for other volunteers. Whichever makes the most sense to do.
(You can find out more about them - or sign up to write letters too! - at votefwd.org)
But yeah, I’m gonna need the next administration to fix the USPS, please.
