January 10th Online Gathering: The Poetry of Pizzica

Join us Saturday January 10th at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern for an online gathering with Paolo Miceli. With a background in linguistics and minority languages in Italy, Paolo will guide us in understanding the language and play dynamics of the oral tradition in the ronda -- the circle of drummers and singers within which the pizzica pizzica comes to life.

Together we'll look the meaning and structure of pizzica verses, understanding their linguistic patterns and the relationships of meaning that are created by singers.
