Hi all!

This summer I was offered a place as a contributor in poetry at the Bread Loaf Writer’s Conference. Bread Loaf is 10-day conference of writing workshops and speaking events held in Ripton, Vermont. This year is the conference’s 97th year! I applied to the Bread Loaf conference because I was excited about the kinds of writers and writing that I know people encounter there: talented and beautiful and well-storied humans from all over the world, a week to pick at their brains and have them pick at my poems. I also applied to Bread Loaf as a way of sharpening myself as a peer and colleague to my poetry cohort, wanting to return with sharper and more empathetic eyes to see their work. ♡
I also see this summer as perhaps the only summer I could make the conference happen in my schedule, this one summer between my first and second years in the MFA program at UM.
It’s an honor to have been invited but the total cost of the conference is about $5000, and it is only by the support of my community that I will be able to build the financial bridge and attend. Any amount is a blessing to me, and I also have chapbooks of my recent work ready for adoption in my Extras:
