A few weeks back, our friend Hiroyuki (vokills, Church of Misery; guitar/vokills, Sithter) posted on Facebook that he formed a new hardcore punk band up in his hometown of Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima.
We've done some photo and video work with them in the past, so upon seeing this I casually commented that we should shoot a documentary about the show and the city. He was immediately on board, so we got to planning. I made it up there on April 16th and stayed to the 19th, shooting all 4 days with 4 cameras and some audio gear.
There's a lot to talk about there (after parties, castles, eel, lake storms, etc.), but we'll get to that another time. The good news is, the film is safely stored, formatted, and we just started editing. Hoping that we'll get it out in a week or so, but either way, stay tuned!
