On our school’s annual day in sixth grade, I won first place 🥇 by reciting Robert Frost’s English poetry The Road Not Taken. That small victory sparked a desire for poetry and storytelling in a 12-year-old me, which blossomed into my immense enthusiasm for writing ✍️ as an adult.
English is not my first language, and I learned it throughout my school years and only aimed to get better at it with practice.
My senior school English teacher was a great support and also suggested that I start by reading and observing the work of Western novelists, world leaders 🪩, and famous personalities to have a better grasp of a foreign language.
And I never looked back from there.
Reading more and more has always been at the top of my list for polishing my writing and language skills, improving my vocabulary, and learning impactful storytelling.
Plus, there is no feeling that matches the feel of a physical book in your hand. By the time I’m writing this, I’ve transformed into an avid reader, and I keep looking for new authors and their work to explore.
Learning is a lifelong process. So every bit of support coming my way means the world to me. No pressure, though! But if you can, please go ahead and help me buy my next book 📖
