Hi everyone! I’m writing a book, for some of you it might ring a bell. The Dutch title translates to “The Story of the Marnite Universe – Part One: Meet Marnite“, which is basically a rewrite of what I’ve been writing and rewriting since my eleventh birthday.
This time, my approach is a whole new one, though. I deleted the whole file of the previous try, so that I’m now forced to write the story entirely out of my head.
I also decided to cut some unnecessary scenes, like the murdering of Paul Allard, directly in the opening of the story. And stick with character development for the living a bit more. Summer does all the things she did before, but now with extra thoughts in between, she also has more feelings. I seem to have forgotten that feelings do not only exist in a moment of fright, they always do.
Those thoughts will be kinda hard in other characters, though. Summer Burke‘s thoughts are easiest to put on paper, because she’s talking to herself most of the time. For example, Marcus Leanderson on the other hand is a very quiet person, and also one with loads of thoughts. So I’ll need some time to figure that out.
For now I’m not even done with the prologue. I’m just writing whenever something pops up, and will be for the next couple of months. And I think I will keep you updated too!
