This morning I went in to the office so that I can focus and get some things done when I was informed that my card wasn't going through. Yeah, totally embarrassing.
My bank in the past would cut off my card and not let me know if they saw strange charges but they had gotten better about letting me know ahead of time. It seemed strange because I had just used in like 30 minutes prior.
I had her run it again but it declined. F@@$! I did not have time today to fix this at my bank. Calling the bank and waiting to find out wtf was going on, I remembered I had a Blue Bird card in my wallet as a backup.
I tried to add funds but then I found out that I couldn't update the debit card. That's so dumb. I was in a panic.
Turned out the young lady probably put in the wrong zip code. Total side eye.
What did this frustration reveal? My back up plans were going to take longer than I wanted or had time for. Plan A was going to take a few hours if my card was compromised. Plan B wouldn't have worked in a pinch because I didn't even know I couldn't update the funding card. I have another backup to the backup (plan C), but that might have taken as long as going to the bank.
What did this reveal?
The holes in my plans and how I needed to get some other things in place just in case this happened again.
Yes, get angry, get frustrated, then think. What did your frustration actually reveal? It might be your blessing in disguise.
