Well, here we are in August, and it's hot as balls outside. We're right on schedule for the fire season, there's smoke in the air, making it nearly impossible to go outside and enjoy the sunshine. Not really a problem for me, as I detest the heat of this time of year anyway, but I can't even enjoy the bright daytime from INSIDE, either! Too hazy and smoky outside.
The new story is coming along quite nicely. The first chapter is finished (in first draft form, anyway), and I'm slowly moving on to the next. I doubt I'll have the whole manuscript done by November, which was my initial goal, but I'm still aiming for the end of the year for the first draft. It might take a bit longer, but I want to make sure I tell this story properly. It's my first LGBTQ+ story that I am actually trying to get done, so we'll see how far I get on not falling into tropes!
Due to AI scraping, I won't be posting snippets of the story on here, unfortunately. I will, however, be offering more commissions to patrons and supporters at discounted prices as an alternative, if you've a hankering for my work! I'll also be running a contest in the coming weeks for a free commissioned work for my supporters!
