Previously, it was reported that the Mortal Kombat film will premiere on April 23. However, through a post on Instagram , Joe Taslim revealed that this film is ready to be released in Indonesian theaters on April 14, which is four days from the time this news was made.
What is surprising is that Joe Taslim is not the only Indonesian actor who plays in the Mortal Kombat film. There is Max Huang, a man of Indonesian descent who was described by Joe Taslim as a Medan child.
" Mortal Kombat will soon be released in Indonesia, and for those of you who don't know, my father was born in Sumatra, Indonesia. We use the family name Widjaja (Chinese translation = Huang). So I am very proud to also represent the Indonesian flag with Joe Taslim ," Max said, quoted from detikINET Twitter post @themaxhuang, Saturday (10/4/2021).
Max Huang himself played Kung Lao in the film Mortal Kombat . Meanwhile, Joe Taslim plays the iconic character, Sub Zero.

After the premiere of the Mortal Kombat movie trailer was released, fans were amazed by the stunning performance of Joe Taslim when playing Sub Zero. The brief battle with Scorpion in the trailer made fans even more impatient to see the complete appearance of the Indonesian actor, Joe Taslim.
The film, directed by Simon McQuoid, will premiere in theaters and HBO in April. However, it seems that the Asian region has a different schedule. For example, in Indonesia, Mortal Kombat will air on April 14 in theaters.
