RWN is on Twitter (@RefWorldNews)!

https://twitter.com/RefWorldNews

After weeks of creating these "Referral World News" posts, I've introduced Referral World News to the Twitterverse! This is my first time using Twitter to promote anything, let alone something I'm proud of and feel adds value to Referral World. I'd greatly appreciate if you follow RWN on Twitter (and heck, follow me here on BMAC while you're at it)! Also, if you have any Twitter tips on "making 'Fetch' happen" with this venture, please click here to email me. image

Moneymaking Hints, Tips and Ideas, Part 2

https://www.buymeacoffee.com/johnmego/moneymaking-hints-tips-ideas-part-2-getting-started

I published "Moneymaking Hints, Tips and Ideas, Part 2: Getting Started". This article is geared more towards people who are new to Referral World and aren't quite sure how to get started. That said, there are a few recommendations seasoned referral marketers may find useful, as well.

PointCard Neon accounts will be disabled tomorrow (9/8/22). Be sure to withdraw your funds today; otherwise, they'll be returned to you via ACH to your linked bank account, or else mailed to the address on file.

Miles Tracking Enhancement

 https://miles.app/ZD2ESE - code ZD2ESE

If you refer Miles, you may have noticed that you are now able to track how many trips your invites have completed. This feature is a welcome addition as it sheds light on signups marked "Not Eligible to claim". For more info on Miles and their 9/6-9/8 promotion, click here.image

Coderons Suspends Accounts

Yesterday, I reported on Coderons, the latest app to hit Referral World. Right out the gate, this TESTING app had issues. Add to them that Coderons is now suspending accounts. TESTING FAIL.image

HostGator Down

https://referral.hostgator.com/s/John98

This isn't necessarily referrals-related for most, except that HostGator has a referral program. It's newsworthy to me since http://www.referralworldnews.com is hosted by HostGator and redirects to the current week's RWN blog (like this one). While the site is working fine for me, I did notice that the portal tools were/are inaccessible. Special thanks to reader, Nocoffeesnob, for the tip on this story, and how users are reporting the problems and calling Hostgator out on Twitter. HostGator was apparently radio silent on the outages until this tweet an hour ago.

Coderons Likely Not For You

Earlier this morning, I reported on a new viral (TESTING) app and referral promotion to hit Referral World. What originally seemed like a no-brainer is looking to be something too niche - targeted toward code developers - and their terms look to make the $10 bonuses unattainable for most. This is because, in addition to signing up, you need to:

  • sign up as a partner;

  • make relevant posts that earn $5 for each 1,000 unique post views;

  • have $15 in "unique view" earnings to withdraw referral bonuses.

Coderon's referral/withdrawal articles are confusing/misleading, stating, "When the person you refer Coderons to signs up, you will receive a credit to your earnings in Coderons. You can withdraw the amount any time you want using PayPal." But this has proven not to be the case, as we've received error messages similar to the screenshot below when trying to withdraw our referral earnings:

New Viral App, Coderons, Hits Referral World

https://coderons.com/ref/mph4gz

UPDATE 9:27AM PDT - I am still trying to gain more information on this. It's looking like it's going to be unattainable for most, but the site is confusing. In their FAQ section, everything regarding withdrawing makes it sound like you can cash out at any time. But, the earnings section itself states that you must have $15 in available funds related to unique post views. I reached out to support for clarification. For now, I'm going to chalk this up as a TESTING FAIL.

Update 8:47AM PDT - Still acquiring info about this promotion and when, exactly, you can withdraw. From the looks of it, you can't simply withdraw the referral earning. You need a certain amount of unique views in order to withdraw your earnings. I've been told the number of views is 15 but don't know firsthand at this point. If you have any insight, please click here to let me know.

****

A new, viral app, Coderons, hit Referral World this morning. $10 signup bonuses, $10 referral bonuses. Just needs email to sign up (must verify email).

Withdraw at $15, although I'm getting word that there is also a "unique views" requirement to be able to withdraw. It's unclear at this point the number of views. I've heard it's 15 views, but it might be more than that (thanks, Cecilia Delgado, for the tip)! According to the earnings screen when you hover over the "Available Earnings" section, you need to have an available balance - which comes from unique views - to cash out.

SimBull ReSTRICTions

I woke up to a new iOS-only app going viral in Referral World: SimBull. It's apparently a stock app where you sign up and get a free stock, and you refer for more free stocks. This is similar to several other stock apps, such as Webull, Firstrade, Robinhood, Iconik, Bits of Stock, Streetbeat, etc.

What's different are the requirements SimBull is imposing with regards to withdrawing your bonus(es). According to email correspondence with SimBull CEO, Kenneth Giles, You cannot withdraw your free stocks until after 30 days, and until you have $100+ in trades. I asked for clarification on this - see screenshots below - and supposedly, selling your $100+ in free stocks after the 30-day mark would meet their "volume transaction" requirement. SimBull also states that even though they call themselves the "stock market for sports," they don't consider themselves to be an investment app, but rather an entertainment app, similar to sportsbooks.

SimBull appears to have implemented these terms to prevent people from simply signing up for a free stock and cashing out without actually using the app. With that in mind: If you plan to use this app to make trades and such, it may be worth it to you to sign up. Or, if you plan to refer this actively until you get $100+ in free referral stocks. But if you don't plan to do either of these things, you may want to skip this one.imagescreenshot credit: Zuheily Acevedo

Creative Juice's $1K-$10K Referral Offer

The past couple days, a new banking app has been making the rounds in Referral World. Called Creative Juice. I attempted to sign up through a fellow referrer, Savannah. It appears that this banking/financial app is targeted at content creators, and requires at least one business page/platform to sign up.

They're running what sounds like a great referral promotion: Sign up, deposit any amount, and spend $5 anywhere - p2p likely doesn't count - and you'll get a $25 bonus within 30 days. Successfully refer others who do the same and you'll get a $25 referral bonus for each. Refer 10 people successfully and you'll get $1,000. Refer 100 people successfully and you'll get $10,000!

Since I don't have business pages set up, yet, I was not able to complete the signup. Once I do, I will finish signing up and will share my referral link. If you'd like to sign up in the meantime, here's Savannah's link for you to get started: https://app.getjuice.com/join?referralCode=KGMTD4U4

Varo Referral Caps

https://varomoney.com/r/?r=Brett529

This FYI for anyone who has been referring Varo. Per their terms, You can refer up to 5 people within a calendar year. And if you signed up using a referral link, that counts as one of your 5 referrals. I heard from fellow referrers that the cap resets with each new referral promotion - such as the current $30 signup and referral bonuses that just started 9/1 - but I cannot confirm this yet, so YMMV.

Recap of Last Week's News:

  • ResultID Paid some referrers, paused referral program;

  • The September “Summerset” Bonuses List released;

  • New Webull promos (15+ fractional shares per referral plus up to 40 full shares of AAPL when you refer 7)

  • Steady paying some – not all – owed bonuses, still has bugs and not replying to emails;

  • Ando to charge $8.99 fee beginning September 30, 2022;

  • Bits of Stock bugs (money disappearing from accounts, login problems).  Replied to emails and sounds like they’re working to resolve;

  • Solo lowered signup bonuses from $15 to $10 on 9/1/22, referral bonuses still $15;

  • Varo lowered bonuses to $30 on 9/1/22;

  • Stash’s “Extra $100” promotion ended 9/1/22;

  • Cheese ended deposit bonuses 9/1/22;

  • Juno shipped out metal cards, increased deposit bonus from 1.2% to 2.15% on 9/1/22;
