Important Smart Desktop AI News and Next Steps Required of You!

7pm PDT Update: Smart Desktop AI posted a second announcement in their Telegram chat. Two of the key takeaways I got from the update are that 1) including your referrer's (Sponsor's) information is preferred and helpful, it isn't required if you don't know it; and 2) You need to fill out the form and submit your bank information ASAP because they will only be paying once per month and if they don't have your bank info when they're processing the 8/10 payouts, then you'll have to wait until September to get paid. 5:30pm PDT: Smart Desktop AI Sent an update to all members in their Telegram chat. I made a separate post with screenshots along with the pasted announcement from SDAI here.

Summed up, they've made the form available on our SDAI Dashboards (login link) to provide our bank information for receiving payments. Titan's New and Viral $50 Referral Bonus Promotion!

Freecash is Killing it!

It took me forever to be convinced to sign up for Freecash (mostly because I refer so many apps already that another GPT app sounded tedious). I'm so glad that RWN supporters Dre and Amanda persuaded me to finally sign up. I signed up on 7/19, and as of today, I've already scored over $754! All this through my signup, referral bonuses and by taking them up on their offers. And I've barely scratched the surface of what Freecash offers. I've earned the most so far from playing Monopoly Go. Keep in mind that I was able to do it while also moderating groups, referring apps, and of course creating these articles and other featured posts. July's Epic Earners are Continuing to Slay!

Speaking of whales, I published this month's biggest earners for me. I'd earned over $3.6K from just nine apps when I published it. As of this morning, I'm up over 4.2K! It's the third month in a row I've been making these posts after countless questions of "What apps are the best to refer?", "How much can you really earn from referring?", etc. While my mantra is "sign up for all the apps, then refer all the apps!" the reality is that some apps earn more than others. Check out my nine biggest earners this month and consider adding them to your "front burner" of the apps you promote (if you refer) and if you haven't signed up for them, consider changing that!

Joist and Invoice Simple Honor Owed Bonuses!

Earlier this month, Joist and Invoice quickly caught fire in Referral World and distinguished just as quickly as the promotions were shut down. We were all pretty miffed with both companies because it appeared they were both just two more fly-by-nighters that were going to stiff referrers on our owed bonuses. Thankfully, both companies have been working to honor all valid referrals and have issued these bonuses over the past week. I ultimately received $150 from Joist, along with $140 from Invoice Simple, yesterday morning. I reached out to both companies today, and both confirmed that their referral programs will remain on pause until further notice.

If you signed up for either or both of these apps and paid the subscription, remember to cancel it if you don't plan on using them since both are monthly paid subscriptions.

Here's why Your Facebook Posts Aren't Posting Quickly!

If you've been posting and/or commenting in Facebook referral groups only to find them in pending status for hours (or longer), here's why: The short answer is that FB has deemed you a potential spammer. All of your posts have to be manually approved. Don't feel bad, as you're not alone; Facebook considers most active referrers spammers.

Further explained: FB groups have a setting where you can auto-approve all posts in the group. All groups I admin have this setting turned on, as do many others. In theory, your posts should post immediately unless you've shared something questionable, which would prompt moderators to put your submissions on post-approval for manual review.

About a year ago, Facebook added a "Potential Spam" feature: a separate bucket where posts/comments FB deems as potential spam wind up. Regardless of the auto-approval group settings, these "Potential Spam" posts must be manually by moderators before they're published to the group. This feature used to be optional, and I immediately turned it off in all the groups I admin after discovering that most of what ends up in that bucket are legit posts/comments from legitimate, active referrers.

A few months back, Facebook being Facebook - cough OVERREACH cough - the social media giant made this feature mandatory in nearly all referral groups (and I'm sure groups in general), with no way to turn it off.
All of the groups I run are actively moderated, with admins and mods checking the groups several times per day to ensure posts and comments get approved as quickly as possible. And same goes for other reputable referral groups. There are some groups, though, where admins/mods either don't realize the Potential Spam" bucket is trapping legitimate posts. There are groups that, despite having several admins and mods and being busy, are not actively moderated. There are groups where admins/mods are intentionally ignoring the "Potential Spam" folder for various reasons (some feel that if a post ends up there, it SHOULD be considered spam and ignored, and others have stated it's too much work so they choose to ignore it). Regardless of the reason for the particular group(s) you post in, delays are the "new normal" until - and if - Facebook decides to remove the mandatory setting for this feature. And, remember that Facebook Admins and Moderators are volunteers. Facebook pays us nothing to moderate these groups, keep them active, legit, free of scammers, etc.

While I don't know if there's any one "trick" to not winding up in the "potential spammer" category - or getting out of it once there - I do recommend these things which may help:

1) Monitor and limit your posting frequency

There are hundreds - if not thousands - of Facebook referral groups. If you're posting across dozens of groups, consider scaling back the number of posts you make, along with the number of groups you post in. Perhaps limit your activity to groups you know to be actively moderated. Maybe you want to be a small fish in a big pond (a very active group) where your posts might be seen by more people when you post but will quickly disappear as other referrers share their posts. Or maybe you want to stick to less active groups where your posts have a longer visibility duration as there are fewer others posting, but your post may get fewer initial views. Note that there are a lot of fantastic legitimate groups that don't get a lot of traffic but are more actively moderated than many of the most active groups. Feel free to email me for a list of groups I recommend joining.

2) Change your post script among groups

Another thing that will count against you if you post in multiple groups is copy/pasting the same content in each post. While it's tedious, try varying the versions of a post you share. This will also be easier to do if you choose to post in fewer groups and/or post less often.

3) Consider not sharing your link in the main post

While, in theory, including more info in a post is more beneficial to readers, sometimes less is more because it prompts more interaction, which helps with the Facebook algorithms. Some Facebook groups already require that you post your app link in the comments vs the main post. Be careful if you choose to do these things: If your post is so vague/intriguing with minimal information, it may be mistaken for one of the hundreds of scam posts that admins and mods deal with daily, and you may find yourself removed or even banned from the group as a result. Also, if you wind up with so many "info" and similar comments on your post, you may wind up with FB violations/restrictions for making too many replies with your link/info. Definitely a double-edged sword when deciding how to post your opportunities.

4) Stale pending posts count against you. Delete them regularly

I highly recommend you regularly delete all stale pending posts and comments out of the groups you post in (you can do this by clicking the 3 dots on the top right of the group and clicking "My Content", then "Pending") and delete any/all posts that are older than a day. These pending posts add up... Some regular posters find that they have hundreds of stale pending posts across the groups they have posted in (especially since the FB mandatory changes went into effect).

5) Take a break

You may want to consider letting your Facebook account cool off for a few days to let any algorithms reset. I find myself doing this more and more, lately. And I'm even leaning to take more breaks from Referral World entirely so that I can enjoy more of the real world!

6) Become a Moderator, yourself!

While being a group admin or mod is a volunteer position and can be cumbersome at times, it is also a privilege and comes with some great benefits, such as:

  • Keep your favorite group(s) active, legit and fun as you actively moderate and minimize scam posts and scammers.

  • Be among the first to know when a new app hits Referral World!

  • Play a part in helping others earn money from signup and referral bonuses!

  • Interact with other awesome admins and mods!

  • Gain trust from members

7) Consider other avenues

Facebook isn't the only referral destination. You can also find great results with other referral destinations found on Invitation.codes, Discord, Youtube, MeWe, Oooh, Reddit, etc.
