Just 24 hours ago, I reported how Grifin already paid me over $200 in bonuses I earned after I'd just signed up and started referring it Sunday night. I was immediately able to initiate a transfer to my bank yesterday, and I'm pleased to report that the funds have already posted to my bank account! Monzo's Instant "Spend $10, Get $20" Bonuses are Back!
If you haven't signed up for Monzo, yet, now's a great time to do so. They finally brought back their "spend $10, get $20 instantly" promotion. This is the promotion they briefly ran for a few days when I signed up in early December before they lowered it to $10 and eventually raised it to $15 (while also increasing the spending requirement to $15). To trigger this $20 bonus, you need to spend $10 within 14 days. Monzo comes with a virtual card you can connect to Apple/Google Pay and spend $10 anywhere those are accepted (gas stations, grocery stores, several online retailers, Square business invoices, etc.)
You'll get unlimited $20 referral bonuses as well as each signup triggers their bonus. If history is any indicator, you'll want to jump on this opportunity because it'll only be this high for a few days.

Grifin Pays, Issues Seemingly Resolved for Most!

The night before last, I signed up for and briefly referred Grifin, a new microinvesting/nestegg stocks app similar to Acorns, Bumped, and Bits of Stock. I was excited about this one because it offers a $5 signup bonus an impressive, limited-time $30 referral bonus promotion (through 2/29, normally $5).
Not long after I started promoting Grifin, a few people reached out to me, informing me that the app had frozen up on them during signup, and they weren't able to invest the $5 or obtain their referral link when they closed and reopened it. I updated my featured post (now archived here) and wrote an article yesterday to inform everyone. I also reached out to Grifin.
Fast forward to today, when Grifin paid those of us who signed up and referred them the past few days! My signups received their $5 signup bonuses, and those of us who were able to refer have received our referral bonuses). All but one of the people who reached out to me have already gone in and invested the $5, have their own referral links, and are referring Grifin themselves (I'm currently working with my remaining signup to help resolve his issue). And I received my referral bonuses. I haven't heard back from Grifin to confirm they resolved the app issues, but this seems to be the case.
If you signed up over the weekend and could not invest the $5 to get your signup bonus and referral link, go ahead and complete that step now so you can start earning your $30 referral bonuses. Grifin's Glitches!

Yesterday, I reported on Grifin, a new app offering $5 and $30 referral bonuses (through 2/29, normally $5). I personally had no issues during signup, but others have, which is why I consider this app and promotion to be TESTING. Based on their experiences, here's what I can share to help you hopefully avoid similar issues as you sign up. I've also contacted the company and reported these issues, and I hope to hear back from them soon.
Issue 1: During onboarding, the app freezes after connecting bank
Reason: During onboarding, Grifin has you connect your bank. It then searches your bank's transaction history to suggest stocks you might be interested in investing in. It's unclear at this point whether it's completely freezing up or just taking a long time to do this step, but it's resulting in people closing the app.
Result: When the user goes back into the app, they're unable to continue the onboarding process... specifically, the next screen that would've had them invest in a selection of stocks. Because investing in stocks is the only way to get your own referral link, there is no referral link for these users when this issue occurs.
WORKAROUND 1: To prevent this issue from happening, you can connect a bank that you have at least a $7.50 balance - Grifin requires 1.5x the investment amount to be in your bank - but one that is not your primary bank, one you don't use very often and/or doesn't have many transactions.
WORKAROUND 2: If you already ran into this issue and don't have a referral link, you can try removing the bank you attached and connecting a different bank with fewer transactions which should trigger the Invest screen.
Issue 2: You had a referral link after you signed up, but after you changed some settings, you no longer have a referral link.
Reason: I'm not sure if this is a glitch or if it is by design, but Griffin has the referral link tied to the "Buy Stock Where You Shop" option.
WORKAROUND : If you turned this off, you will need to turn it back on by clicking "Profile & Settings" > "Investment Settings" and checking the "Buy Stock Where you Shop" checkbox. You can then click "Skip this step" when prompted to choose stocks, click your phones "Back" button, and pull down on the main account page screen to refresh the page. Your referral link banner should reappear.

NEW: Grifin - $5 Signup, $30 Referral Bonuses, through 2/29

A brand new app and promo hit Referral World last night called Grifin. This investment/nest egg app reminds me of Acorns meets Bumped, Bits of Stock, and Apollo (three apps that went viral in Referral World the past few years but either fizzled out or shut down completely).
The promotion:
Download the app and enter code FNJPA8 when asked during signup. Complete the KYC (requires SSN), connect your bank and invest $5 in a handful of stock options it gives you based on your bank transaction history (if you don't have history, it'll still show you some popular options like Amazon, Apple, PayPal, Walmart, etc.). You're supposed to get a $5 signup bonus once your investment settles, and you will also get a referral link and through 2/29, you'll get $30 referral bonuses for everybody you refer who invests the $5.
I signed up through fellow trusted referrer, Omelia Baldwin, who received her $5 signup bonus (see screenshot below) and has seen proof of others having received their $30 referral bonus. That said, I'm considering Grifin to be TESTING since I just signed up last night, and my $5 investment hasn't settled yet.
2/26/24 update: IMPORTANT!
You must connect to a bank with a $7.50 or more available balance, AND It's best to connect to a bank that doesn't have a lot of transactions on it. If your connected bank has a lot of transactions, the app will likely freeze up during signup and you won't be able to invest the $5, which means you won't get a referral link for a few days until your deposit posts. To prevent this from happening, connect a bank of yours that doesn't have very many spending transactions. If you've already signed up and run into this problem, you can remove the bank you connected and connect to a different bank (TY Shaun and Becca for these tips).

One Finance Pays and Pays FAST!

Fantastic news about One Finance! This app has been around for a little while now, but recently partnered with Coastal Banking, and their new $20 bonus promo hit Referral World and went viral a few days ago. Since I signed up just two days ago and created a featured post about it, I've already been paid $60 in bonuses ($20 signup bonus and $40 in referral bonuses)! This is despite their terms stating it can take up to 5 business days, and with it being the weekend (I received these bonuses Friday night, Saturday, and early this morning).
To recap the One Finance promo: You get $20 when you sign up, load $20 into your One account and spend $20 anywhere. It comes with a virtual card to connect to Apple/Google Pay, Cash App, etc.
And there's even more great news! Besides the quick payout options, there are several ways to quickly trigger the bonus! I chose the slower option of connecting my bank to One Finance, not realizing there were these quicker options, which you can do as well but do so knowing it will take one or more days for your deposit to post to your One Finance account. For more instant turnaround, you can connect your virtual card to Apple Pay or Google Pay, or Cash App, and load the $20 into your One Finance account those ways. You can also create a barcode within the app that you can use at any Walmart to load $20 into your account.
Despite the $20 spend requirement, there are ways to trigger the bonus while keeping your money. If you sign up through me, email me and I'll happily share these tips! Based on my experience, I highly recommend signing up for and referring One Finance!

MoneyLion's Quick $10 Ends Tomorrow!

Surprise Enhances Android Experience!

Surprise, one of my favorite apps of recent months, is even better now with their latest updates to Android! If you don't already know, Surprise is a minigame/social/GPT all-in-one app where you can easily earn gift cards and other prizes you fancy as you play mini-games, watch videos, challenge friends and strangers to games of trivia, and much more. Up until just a couple of months ago, Surprise was only available to iPhone/iPad users. I signed up shortly after they created the Android version of the app. Fortunately for me, I have both an Android and iPhone and I was able to test out both experiences. While the Android app has been a blast (and lucrative), the iOS version offered several more options.
That is, until this past week or so when I opened Surprise on Android and found that it now has a nearly identical experience to the iOS version! It's also promising because there are still a few features remaining that are only on iOS, but I expect that I'll be seeing an identical experience soon!

Acorns' "Refer 4, Get $800" Promotion!

Acorns just started a great new promotion: $5 signup bonus when you sign up for Acorns and invest $5 by 3/2. $5 referral bonuses as well, and if you refer four people by 3/2 who complete these same steps, you'll earn another $800 ($825 in total)!
Note that Acorns charges a monthly $3 fee after your first 30 days. You can cancel Acorns as soon as you withdraw your bonuses, though I recommend keeping it as they frequently offer generous referral bonuses. To date, I've earned over $3,000 from these promotions!
Important: Despite Acorns being one of the easiest apps to sign up for with a straightforward onboarding process that only takes 5-10 minutes (tops), I tend to find most people start the process but don't complete it (see screenshot below of recent counts of the 70 people who signed up vs. the seven people who completed the steps). Final Juno/Laurel Road Update!

As you know, I have been providing Juno/Laurel Road updates since Juno paused their $75/$50 bonuses promotion on 1/3/24. Since my latest update last week, I continued communicating with Juno and learned a few things:
1) In Juno's banking referral tracking dashboard, the "People referred" section reflects people who got as far as signing up on Juno's website but did not proceed to open an account on Laurel Road's site (a requirement for the bonuses). In my case, 172 people clicked my link and signed up for Juno, but didn't successfully open a Laurel Road account.
2) The $1+ Laurel Road deposit was a requirement to receive the signup bonus, but not for the referrer to receive their referral bonus; it was only required that a referee opened a Laurel Road account after using the referrer's link for the referrer to receive their bonus.
3) Juno told me they'll be sending out reminders for people who opened a Laurel Road account but have not yet deposited $1 to do so, but they have concluded that most all the referral bonuses have now been issued at this point.
4) As Juno relayed to me, if you signed up for Juno, you are still eligible for Juno's current signup bonuses related to student loans/refinancing.
