Neon: A Viral Rise, a Rocky Week, and a Lesson in Fair Play! [Worldwide]

https://www.referralworldnews.com/neon

6:39 PM PDT Update - After initially canceling certain customer's payments (see article below), It appears Neon decided to pay after all. Hat tip to an anonymous RWN supporter for the latest email screenshot.

Neon made its debut in Referral World around September 22 and took off fast. With $30 signup bonuses and up to $30 per day for making phone calls, the app went viral almost overnight. Within 24-48 hours, it skyrocketed to the top of the App Store downloads. It was even featured in TechCrunch and other outlets, as a significant data breach exposed some users’ call metadata and personal details. The app went offline, leaving many members waiting for unpaid bonuses.

This week, Neon resumed payouts, and many members, myself included, received payments for pending bonuses and call earnings yesterday. However, not everyone did. Some members received the email below from Neon today, explaining that their payments were canceled after a review of their account activity, which appeared to violate policy.

image

One of Neon's many challenges has reportedly been customer misuse. Some allegedly found ways to “game the system,” such as using virtual numbers to call themselves, running long silent calls, or letting a TV run in the background to simulate conversation. A few have even been accused of sharing these methods publicly to boost referral earnings.

There’s been debate among those affected. Some believe Neon fairly reviewed call data and flagged violations, while others suspect that higher earners, particularly those owed $100 or more, may have been denied simply due to the amount they were owed. Additionally, there have been a few reports of individuals who claim to have followed all the rules and didn't abuse the system, but whose payments were nonetheless canceled. It's possible that one or more of the people they referred "gamed the system," but the referrer wouldn't have any control over that - nor should they be expected to have control over what other people do. And it certainly shouldn't result in ALL their bonuses being canceled.

Neon, to its credit, has continued to communicate with users, pay most, and keep the community updated. And many would argue that Neon has every right to protect its system from abuse and shouldn't reward individuals who gamed and/or encouraged others to game the system. But trust cuts both ways. Hopefully, Neon's decision not to pay out certain members was based on confirmed abuse by the individuals, rather than the amount owed to them. In Referral World, reputation is everything. Just as quickly as the community can build an app into the top charts, it can also hold it accountable, warn others, and move its attention to apps that do right by their users.

BRAND NEW: SnapThePrice - $10 Signup, $5 Referrals! [US]

https://www.referralworldnews.com/go/snaptheprice

There’s a brand-new app that has just launched in Referral World, paying users to shop smarter and also offering a fantastic signup and referral bonuses. SnapThePrice is a Chrome extension that compares prices in real time across thousands of stores, including Amazon, Walmart, and Target. You’ll earn a $5 signup bonus and another $5 once you install the extension ($10 total) and up to $1 every day that you snap products and interact with their AI assistant! This promotion offers unlimited $5 referral bonuses as well.

The rewards are posted instantly to your SnapThePrice account with a "pending" status. To unlock the bonuses, simply use the app each day for 10 days, and once you hit $20, you can cash out to your choice of PayPal or Amazon gift cards.

This one is brand new, offering a huge early bird opportunity. Since it's so new, I consider this to be TESTING. That said, I think this will be a must-have app for shoppers looking to score the best prices, with the signup and referral bonuses being icing on the cake.

MoneyLion Bonus Payout Delays? [US]

https://www.referralworldnews.com/go/moneylion

If you've ever read an issue of RWN, you know that MoneyLion is my favorite app to refer. This is because of its easy $10 bonus you get just by signing up and opening a free RoarMoney (checking) account (no deposit or spend requirement), and how you can easily trigger the $50 deposit bonus through a single $100 direct deposit or by transferring $100 from Current (or Found) to your MoneyLion account. And for the past 6+ months, MoneyLion has been like clockwork, posting bonuses to our accounts nightly.

Before MoneyLion started paying nightly, they used to pay 1-3 times per week. And even now, their terms state that payments can post in 24 hours to 14 days. For some reason, bonuses haven't posted the past two nights. This led me to believe that MoneyLion is experiencing a technical issue (or perhaps a staffing issue), or perhaps they've changed their nightly policy. Because one of my promotion points is "bonuses post nightly", I called MoneyLion (twice) and they've assured me that there hasn't been a policy change, but payments can take up to 14 days. And I know this to be true because the 14-day period has always been specified in their referral terms.

Nevertheless, I explained to them how, even though their policy technically states "24 hours - 14 days", bonuses have reliably posted nightly for months, and I asked them to submit a ticket. I'm told they did and would be emailing me back within 2-5 days with an update.

If you're waiting on a signup or referral bonus, rest assured that bonuses are still tracking as expected (you get an email for each person you refer). You will receive your bonuses, and in my 2-3 years of referring MoneyLion, this delay is not common; it's only happened once or twice. I expect they'll resolve this quickly and that bonuses will return to paying nightly. I'll provide an update once I receive my latest bonuses and/or receive more information from MoneyLion.

For more info on MoneyLion's current Referral Rush promotion (ending 10/21), see my featured post here. And for more great bank bonuses, including tips on easily triggering the bonuses, see my featured list here.

Update: Neon's Paying Owed Bonuses (Check Your Email)!

Great news if you're still owed bonuses from Neon: they are processing owed bonuses. Other members and I received payment emails to claim our bonuses. If you received a similar email, be sure to open it right away and click the button to redeem the amount they've paid.
image

Note that when I redeemed the $90 today, I got the same "delayed, needs reviewed" screen we've seen before. Neon assures us that the payments are processing. 5:29 PM PDT update: I received payment from PayPal (just a few hours after redeeming).

Latest Update From Neon!

Hat tip to RWN supporter JC Will for sharing this update he received from Neon:

I just checked the app again and it's still stuck on the "Verify Your Phone" screen where it's supposed to call the number on file with a verification code but it doesn't actually call. Fingers crossed that the issues will be resolved next week.

ShopBack's $30 Signup Bonus is Back! [Ends 10/12; Multiple Countries]

https://www.referralworldnews.com/go/shopback

I'm so excited because I haven't seen this high a signup bonus from ShopBack since February (when I signed up). ShopBack brought back its increased $30 referral bonuses promo earlier this week and made it even better by doubling the signup bonus from $15 to $30 as well! Among all the cashback apps I refer, this is my favorite by far. A few reasons include:

  • $30 signup bonus after completing a qualifying $5+ purchase and earning $5 cashback

  • Unlimited $30 referral bonuses, available through October 12

  • Earn even more by activating their Quest Bonuses (such as "earn $10 when you shop any 3 brands")

  • Up to 80% cashback on their CyberGhost VPN offer, which is an easy trigger for both the spend and earn requirements

  • Other boosted deals include Amazon and Paramount+, as well as up to 20 percent cash back at popular retailers

ShopBack is available in the United States, Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Payments are sent once transactions are tracked and confirmed, with timing depending on the offer used. More info and tips to quickly trigger the signup bonus here.

Kem App: What YOU Need to Know Before Signing Up! [Global]

This is an ongoing story, and I'll be providing updates as I learn of them

Kem App is a new crypto wallet and payment platform that’s been making the rounds in referral groups this morning. It offers a modern design, the ability to send, receive, and convert crypto, and a referral program that’s already caught a lot of attention. The app is available on Android and appears to be open worldwide, with users in the U.S., U.K., and the Middle East all reporting access.

Kem offers a $5 sign-up bonus and a referral program that allows you to earn up to $1,000 in rewards by inviting friends. The promo has helped it go viral quickly, but there are still a few early hiccups to know about before you dive in.
image

1) Many users are stuck during verification.
When signing up, you’re asked to verify your identity through Sumsub, a third-party provider used by major financial apps. Normally, this takes only a couple of minutes, but right now, users across multiple countries are reporting that their verification stays “Under Review” and doesn’t finish.

It’s likely a temporary issue as the company deals with an influx of new signups, but it means that for now, many people can’t get past the onboarding screen.
image

2) The app appears to be global, not U.S.-only.
The Play Store description lists multiple currencies including Riyal, Dirham, and Dinar. The developer, Kemfinity s.r.o., is registered in the Czech Republic, which supports the idea that Kem is aiming for a global rollout rather than focusing on one region.

3) Verification uses a legitimate third-party provider.
The “Powered by Sumsub” screen you see during verification is normal. Sumsub is a well-known KYC service used by several major crypto and fintech platforms. While the process is currently stalled, that part of the system itself isn’t suspicious.

4) Early growth may simply be outpacing capacity.
The referral buzz seems to have caused a flood of new users over the weekend. If that’s the case, the slow verification and missing referral updates may just be growing pains. It’s not unusual for a new app to run into scaling issues when it suddenly goes viral.

Overall, Kem App looks like a legitimate project that’s having an early-stage traffic jam. The layout and design are clean, the use of Sumsub for KYC adds credibility, and the referral promotion is definitely grabbing attention. But with so many users still stuck on the verification screen, it may be worth waiting a bit before expecting bonuses or payouts to process.

If the team smooths out the onboarding flow and publishes official details about their rewards program, this could shape up to be an interesting new crypto referral opportunity.

Increased $10-$60 MoneyLion Bonuses are Back, End 10/21! [US]

https://www.referralworldnews.com/go/moneylion - code $55BONUS

My biggest moneymaker is back with its famous "Referral Rush" promo! Through 9/22, get an increased $10 signup and unlimited $10 referral bonuses from MoneyLion (double their standard $5 bonuses). Earn $50 more as you or your referees trigger the deposit bonus, which can be done through direct deposit or by making a $100+ transfer from within Current or Found.
image

MoneyLion has been my biggest earner month after month and topped my Biggest Whales list again in September ($3,170.00 earned, my highest month to date)! I've already earned $665 so far this month and over $29.6K since signing up (with more bonuses on the way). See my featured MoneyLion post for more info.

Debbie: What YOU Need to Know Before Signing Up! [US]

Becca Carlson’s link: https://joindebbie.com/?ref_id=1SLVZMOPP

Debbie is a personal finance app that pays you for building healthy money habits. You earn cash rewards for completing modules, paying down debt, saving, and doing short weekly “check-ins.” The app is available in the United States on iOS and Android and partners with select banks and credit unions to power its rewards.

Debbie’s referral program currently pays $20 per referral when a friend signs up, completes their first module, and connects a qualifying partner account. The app also offers a $5 sign-up bonus, which appears immediately after you register. Some older posts online mention an additional $13 bonus for completing three modules, but I wasn't able to confirm whether that particular promo is still active and/or how it combines with the $5 bonus.

While the concept is great, there are a few things you’ll want to know before signing up:

1) You’ll need SoFi to fully use Debbie right now
Although the app lists multiple partners, the only active and free option currently available is SoFi. When I tried to sign up, it gave me two choices: open a new SoFi account or pay $34.99 per year to “bring your own bank.” Choosing that second option only adds you to a waitlist, meaning you can’t actually move forward without SoFi. Debbie says they’ll be adding more banking partners soon, but users have been hearing that for nearly a year now.

2) The “bring your own bank” option is not yet live.
Debbie's only allowing people to complete the onboarding process who connect their SoFi accounts. Debbie promotes SoFi as giving you free access to Debbie and advertises the ability to connect another bank for $34.99 a year, but choosing any other option puts you on a waitlist and doesn't allow you to proceed. Based on my research, this was also the case when Debbie last went viral in 2024.

3) Rewards appear to have limits.
You can cash out your rewards once you reach $50, provided you have a linked partner account. According to the referral terms, there's also a $100 monthly cap on redemptions, and new users must wait 30 days after signing up before cashing out for the first time. Debbie says payouts take 7–10 business days once approved, and they use Method Financial to verify your identity and securely pull your account data.

Overall, I think Debbie has a lot of potential for SoFi members, but excludes everyone else. The app is well-designed, the concept makes sense, and the referral payout is generous. But until they add more free partner options or make “bring your own bank” actually functional, customers like me will be unable to participate in the promotions.

If you're interested in signing up, I recommend using RWN supporter Becca Carlson’s link, which is https://joindebbie.com/?ref_id=1SLVZMOPP

Blossom Social: What YOU Need to Know Before Signing Up! [US, CAN]

Michelle R's link: https://link.blossomsocial.com/7uYa/szmy36h0 (use code 765358 if asked)

Blossom Social is a clean, modern app that mixes social networking with investing. You can link your brokerage, share verified trades, follow other investors, and earn cash through “Learn & Earn” lessons. The app also features a referral program (for some) that pays $5 referral bonuses for people who sign up through your link and when they sign up, complete the onboarding process, and sign up for the 1-week free PRO trial (which costs $8.99 per month or $59.99 per year thereafter). Blossom Social's referral program briefly went viral in July 2025 before being paused, and it has made a comeback in the past few weeks, with a few users once again sharing links and earning solid payouts. My referrer alone has already made a few thousand dollars in referral bonuses.

My experience signing up today was mixed, and after spending a few hours of research, I want to share the "gotchas" and also a few potential red flags:

1) Not everyone is getting a referral link! My understanding is that when the program came around in July, everyone got a link but this time around, it's unclear as to whether Blossom is selectively offering referral links to some and not others (similar to how Stimulus originally ran their targeted referral program last year), or if Blossom is holding off giving new links out entirely. If you're not familiar with Stimulus, it's a social media app and site that was wildly popular, and for the first few months, certain folks received referral links while many others didn't.

While I can't confirm whether Blossom is doing this as well, or if they're holding off giving ANY new referral links, what I can confirm is that multiple people reached out to me, telling me that they signed up but didn't get a link. When I signed up this morning, I didn't get a link either (even though I completed the onboarding process and verification, signed up for the PRO trial, and connected Coinbase and added SoFi and Webull stocks manually).

Either way, this explains why there is only a handful of referrers referring Blossom Social in referral groups right now. And just like what happened with Stimulus, a few of these referrers are not disclosing that referral links aren't guaranteed when signing up. If you're deciding between which referral link to use, I strongly recommend going with the person who discloses this information upfront.

2) When I started onboarding, Webull didn’t show up as a supported source until I first added a different one (Coinbase). After that, Webull appeared, but only if I signed up for the Pro free trial. I went ahead and did that, but it threw an "unknown error" when I tried connecting Webull. I tried again a few hours later and got as far as entering the verification code Webull texted me, then stopped and didn’t finish linking the account.

3) For Webull, Blossom asks for your trading password to “enable full functionality,” which they say includes “fetching orders and placing trades.” That’s a serious red flag. A trading password allows trade execution, so any third party with that information could, in theory, buy or sell in your account. Until Blossom publicly explains how it uses this data and proves that the access is read-only, I strongly recommend not providing that password. Note that you can add your investments manually (as opposed to connecting your Webull account)
image
image

4) I also ran into an issue with their privacy policy link. Clicking it on the web version opens a pop-up that says “Feature Coming Soon” with a QR code to download the app. Scanning it just opens the app store. It doesn’t show any actual privacy policy or security disclosure. That’s not a good look for a financial app.
image

There are a few other bugs worth mentioning. Even though I signed up for the PRO trial on the Blossom website, and my account reflects "PRO" next to my name when I click "Profile", the "Learn" and other sections in the app still prompt me to start another trial when I click on them. The website and app experience is buggy and inconsistent, though I'm sure Blossom will address these issues as they continue to work out the kinks.

In fairness, I do see huge potential here. The layout is clean, the idea of verified investor portfolios and connecting with other investors is appealing, and the Learn & Earn system is creative. The app also reminds me of Mint, Personal Finance, and other third-party sites/apps that centralize your financial accounts into a single app for easy reference. If the team can resolve the technical issues, clarify the referral rollout, and publish a comprehensive privacy policy, Blossom could become a strong app for both investors and referrers.

For now, I’d suggest trying the app if you’re curious, but skip the trading password prompt and remain cautious until they address these issues. Fingers crossed this turns into a success story for Referral World and not a cautionary tale. If you'd like to sign up, I wasn't given a referral link (yet, at least), but you can sign up using RWN supporter Michelle R.'s link: https://link.blossomsocial.com/7uYa/szmy36h0 (use code 765358).

Dad's First Anniversary without Mom!

I want to dedicate this issue to my Dad, who just spent his 47th anniversary without my mom (Mom passed away in January). This time last year, Mom was in the hospital after a series of strokes and internal bleeding, and my fiancé, brother, and I did our best to make the best of it for both of them (cards, balloons, flowers, and taking my dad to dinner). Dad, I love you, and my heart was with you and Mom on this anniversary.

MoneyLion Set a New Record! [US]

https://www.referralworldnews.com/go/moneylion

MoneyLion continued to be a standout in September, finishing as my highest-earning app for the month. I earned $3,170, which also made it my biggest single month since I first signed up. A large part of that came from the “Referral Rush” promotion, where bonuses were doubled for a couple of weeks.

New users can receive a $5 signup bonus with no deposit required, and an additional $50 when depositing $100 or more within 60 days by direct deposit or ACH transfer from Current or Found. Bonuses are paid out nightly, seven days a week.

Since the start of 2025, I have earned over $17,100 from MoneyLion, and more than $29,300 in total since joining. I am grateful for the consistency of this program and the support from those who have joined through my link. October is already showing promise, with $375 earned so far. More info on Moneylion here, and for more great banking bonuses along with tips to trigger the bonuses, see my featured post here.

Speaking of cashback apps, Rakuten increased its signup and referral bonuses last month from $30 to $50. The promotion was supposed to end on 9/30, but it remains active as of today. There's no expiration date listed that I could find, though I don't expect this promo to last much longer. Promotion is open to new members in the U.S. and Canada.

Goodwall's Bonuses Extended - $100 Cash Prizes and $2 Ref. Bonuses! [Worldwide; Ends 10/30]

https://www.referralworldnews.com/go/goodwall

Goodwall rolled out a new worldwide referral campaign last month that pays $2 for everybody you invite who joins and completes any challenge. This latest promotion was supposed to end 9/30, but has been extended through October 30 (or until rewards run out) and has no spend requirement.

Earlier this year, Goodwall briefly ran a similar promotion offering $5 signup and referral bonuses, and it was capped at $50. I, along with other referrers, quickly maxed out our bonuses. This promo, in contrast, offers lower, referral-only bonuses, but I don't see a listed cap with this one (aside from the overall referrals limit, currently at 3,355 referrals). So there is plenty of earning opportunity with this one!
image

Key Details:

  • $2 per referral when a friend signs up, verifies, and joins a challenge

  • Minimum cashout is $35

  • Must be at least 13 years old to join (under 18 requires parental consent)

  • Promo ends October 30, 2025

  • Worldwide

In addition to the referral rewards, Goodwall is hosting several challenges and contests that offer cash prizes of $10, $25, and even $100 for simple posts.

Some of the active contests include:

  • #MentalHealth – $25 for sharing self-care tips or mindfulness advice.

  • #BestPhoto2025 – $25 monthly prizes for top photos, with winners competing for Photo of the Year at the end of 2025.

  • #Activist – $25 for posts about advocacy or community impact.

  • #VoicesForConnection – $100 prizes to 10 winners who share why schools should be connected to the internet, with winning entries featured during the UN General Assembly.

image

Goodwall has positioned itself as more than just a referral app. With over 2 million members in 150 countries, it’s designed to help young people build profiles, showcase achievements, apply for scholarships, and connect with opportunities. For many, the value of joining is as much about community and growth as it is about the cash.

For more information on Goodwall and these promotions, see my featured post here.

If you have Freecash, check your app right away, as they've been offering targeted, boosted referral promotions. Instead of the usual $12.50 referral bonuses, you can now earn $15, $25, and even $100 per referral for 7 days (YMMV).

If you haven’t signed up yet, Freecash is still one of the top instant apps in Referral World. You’ll get a $5 instant sign-up bonus just for downloading any game or app through them. Your first three referrals can net anywhere from $12.50 to $100 each. I’ve personally cleared over $2.4K with them since last year. More info here.

Stash's $50 Bonuses Extended! [US]

https://www.referralworldnews.com/go/stash

Something must be in the water this month because Stash also extended its increased promo that was supposed to end last month. I'm not complaining, and I hope that we see more of it from these apps. If you're referring Stash, or if you haven't signed up yet, Stash's promos right now consist of a limited-time, increased $50 signup bonus to new members and $50 per referral as part of their “$50 for you, $50 for them” promotion. This is over double their baseline $20 promotion (and $20 more than the more recent $30 bonuses they've been offering).

Just sign up and deposit at least $5 into your new Stash account. Once you do, you’ll unlock your own referral link and can start earning unlimited $50 referral bonuses while this increased promo lasts (and $30 bonuses afterward, up to $1,000/year).

For more info, along with info on Stash's free Stash Stockparty promo that earns you free fractional stock shares each week, see my featured post here.

DoorDash's $32 Signup, $25 Referrals! [US, CAN, AU]

https://www.referralworldnews.com/go/doordash

DoorDash, a popular restaurant and grocery delivery service, just increased its signup and referral bonuses! For a limited time, get $8 off each of your first four $15+ orders and free delivery ($32 bonus in total). And assuming you have this same promotion, you'll get a $25 bonus for each person you successfully refer (up to $200 in referrals; YMMV)!

When DoorDash ran a similar promotion in January, I was able to quickly max out the referral bonuses. More info here. And for more great food-related bonuses, see my featured post here.

Moomoo's New $25 Signup Bonus Promo! [US]

https://www.referralworldnews.com/go/moomoo - code V6H9G66M

A lesser-known (and lesser-saturated) investment app called Moomoo is running a great new promotion: Sign up and deposit $100 (yours to keep) and leave it in for 60 days to score a $25 signup bonus. This promotion admittedly confuses me a bit because it advertises $25 INSTANT, but the referral bonuses require the deposit to stay in for 60 days. Nevertheless, you can score even bigger on the referral bonuses ($700 upon referring the first 4, $1K for the next 4, $1.3K for the next 4, and undisclosed amounts after that). Another unique aspect of this particular promo is that Moomoo typically limits you to 10 referrals per promotion; however, this limitation does not apply to this promotion.
