πŸ’°πŸŒŽπŸ“° Referral World News - 1/7/25-1/13/25

Jan 07, 2025

Happy second week of January! Here's what's happening in Referral World News...

1/8/25

Stash's Increased $30 Bonus Promotion!

https://get.stash.com/john_h88crts

Stash, a popular stocks/investment app offering banking and cashback, just increased its bonuses by 50%. You'll earn $30 of bonus stock - up from $20 - when you join and add one penny or more to your personal investment or bank account from any source. You can choose a $30 cash bonus instead of the stock reward if you'd like.

Stash also frequently holds Stash Stock Parties, where members can get a piece of whatever stock Stash offers by signing in to claim it during the party. You can earn $1,000 per year in referral bonuses, making the nominal $3 monthly fee well worth it if you can refer even one person every 5-6 months. More info here.

New Promo: Instant $5 Cashout, $10 Referrals through 3/31!

https://drumo.com/?ref=2409fbafe9c4

Drumo, a newer US-Only GPT site, is running an increased signup and referral bonus promotion: Get an instant $5 signup bonus when you sign up and cash out $5 by 3/31/25 (up from $2). And for every person you refer who also cashes out, you'll get an instant $10 referral bonus (5X the standard $2 bonus). Note that Drumo requires ID verification.

For more info, see my featured post here. And for more GPT apps with great bonuses, see my featured Split Drop, Scrambly, Freecash, and Swagbucks posts.

MoneyLion's Roaring No-Spend, No-Deposit $10 Bonuses!

https://mlion.us/$55BONUS - code $55BONUS

MoneyLion was my top-earning app in 2024 and it's off to a roaring start in 2025! I've earned $1,050 this week - $700 on 1/2 and $350 on 1/5 - and over $13K since I started promoting it! This one's so easy because there is no spend or deposit requirement to receive the $10 signup bonus, and the $50 deposit bonus can easily be triggered by receiving one direct deposit from an employer or by making an external $100+ transfer using Current or Found apps.

Note that the bonuses are usually $5-$55, but MoneyLion is running a "Referral Rush" promotion through 1/19, doubling the signup and referral bonuses. More info here.

Scrambly's Instant $5 Cashout and $15 Affiliate Bonus Promos!

https://go.scrambly.io/Cg0Wh7

Scrambly shared a new promo code with members! You can redeem code ORBIT (click BONUS > Redeem) to earn increased, unlimited $15 affiliate bonuses for five days! Good for the first 100 redemptions. Scrambly ran similar promotions last month (the previous one was for $14 affiliate bonuses) which earned me over $200 in bonuses along with a sport on the Top 10 Leaderboard!

If you haven't signed up for Scrambly yet, you can sign up by using this link, and you can find more info along with recommended offers for quick earnings here.

Bonuses Renewed in 2025 (and Bonuses Ending Soon)!

https://www.referralworldnews.com/newyear

With the New Year, several apps with yearly bonus earnings caps reset, enabling you to earn even more referral bonuses this year. A few of these renewed opportunities include:

Last Day for Citi Bank's $100 Referral Bonuses!

If you've signed up for and/or are referring Citi Bank's $100 referral bonuses (20 referral limit), this promotion ends today.

I signed up a few weeks back but don't yet have a referral link. If you'd like to sign up, you can use RWN supporter Jennifer Berg's link. There's no signup bonus, but there's a $325 direct deposit bonus opportunity. To trigger this DD bonus, you must receive two or more deposits within 90 calendar days of account opening, totaling $3,000 or more. Qualifying deposits include recurring paychecks, pension, Social Security payments, and PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle transfers! You can use your Zelle/PayPal/Venmo account to send funds to your Citi account. In the case of PayPal, you'll want to ensure you're using ACH transfer.

Based on my research, since this is a deposit bonus instead of a minimum balance bonus, you should be able to send smaller amounts to/from Citi multiple times to trigger. For example, send $500 back and forth six times, or send $200 back and forth 15 times, etc.

Tips for Referees and Referrers!

As you may know, I've been around the block, being an active member of Referral World for years. I've seen, well, pretty much everything. Liars and Scammers and Flakes (oh my!)... Bullies and Narcissists and Opportunists (oh my!)... you get the idea.

While I'm not foolish to think I can solve all of Referral World's problems, I have a few tips to hopefully make these opportunities and referral dealings easier and more lucrative for referrers and referees alike.

Tips for Referers:

1) Please don't mislead, deceive, or willingly withhold the "fine print" to get signups! Remember that the general public tends to have a negative outlook on referrals and referral marketing. Folks may not be familiar with how easy and legitimate signup and referral bonuses are and associate them with pyramid schemes, scams, etc. Some of this sentiment is valid because of how some people choose to refer to apps. Some referrers will leave out requirements to trigger the signup bonus and/or "the fine print" as they promote an app. Perhaps because the referrer is unaware of these requirements, or perhaps the referrer worries a person will be less likely to sign up for an app if they know that there's not a signup bonus (only referral bonuses) or if there's a fee associated with the app, etc. If you consider yourself a legitimate referrer, take pride in the value you provide others and recognize you have the power - and responsibility - to break the referral stigma. And please remember that there ARE scammers in the US and abroad who scam under the guise of offering referral promotions.

2) Please include the expiration date for any limited-time and pay offers! When you post on the internet, chances are good that someone will see that post after a limited-time promotion and/or pay offer has expired. Additionally, people may start to sign up through you while a promotion and/or your pay offer is valid but not finish it up until after one or both have expired. Not only does this result in no bonuses being issued for either of you, but it will likely also lead your referee to feel duped or scammed by you.

One example I ran into last year was in a referral group I moderate, where a referee made posts in several referral groups accusing a referrer of being a scammer and threatened to spam all their posts to "call them out." This resulted from the referrer's TEMU post where they offered pay but didn't include that the offer ended that day. The referee expected that the pay offer was still valid days later when they signed up using the referrer's link but the promotion the referrer was promoting expired days before (along with their pay offer). Neither the referrer nor the referee earned a bonus. This situation could have been easily avoided, and the referrer protected themselves had they included "only valid today" or "my pay offer expires tonight." 3) Please go the extra mile to ensure successful referrals. Research and include the necessary info for your referees to sign up and trigger the bonuses. And if an app or promotion has a "gotcha" that might make it less attractive, let the referee know what it is. Consider including the countries where the app and/or promotion is available. Doing these things will help you earn trust and even give you an advantage when the referee weighs their options of which referrer to sign up through.

4) Please recognize you're dealing with human beings. The people who potentially sign up through your referral links are not just a number and shouldn't be considered merely a vessel to get you a bonus. These people may be single parents looking to make ends meet for their families. Maybe they've fallen upon hard times financially. Maybe they're doing just fine financially and recognize the value that signup bonuses offer. Whatever the case, they're choosing you and your link to earn bonuses.

Tips for Referees:

1) Please don't ghost! If you see a post that interests you and request info, the referrer follows up with information, instructions, etc., and the app is legit, but you change your mind before signing up through them, please don't ghost them, block them, etc. They have taken time out of their day to help you earn a signup bonus. Should you change your mind, simply let us know you're no longer interested, or you don't qualify, etc. Your feedback could help them improve the app/bonus information they provide others, and you're not leaving them hanging.

Your communication is especially valuable when you express interest in a limited-time promotion and/or when an app requires a certain number of signups for the referrer to receive a bonus. You may feel like you're avoiding confrontation or have an issue with saying "no thanks" to someone. Still, your silence may be misleading them into thinking they have the number of signups they need and cause them not to receive bonuses they believed they'd earned.

2) If you're not in the US, please don't assume an app or promotion is worldwide! In the US, we are incredibly fortunate to have access to many signup and referral bonus opportunities. Most of these promotions, though, are US-only or only available in a few countries (i.e., US & Canada). If the referrer hasn't included "worldwide" or listed the countries the app or promotion applies to, research or ask the referrer if it's available in your country before attempting to sign up, or else assume it's US-only. Note that over the past year, I've been working on labeling apps with the countries they're available in when not US-only. I will continue doing this in 2025, as well as adding more global apps to my main apps list.

3) Please start what you finish! If you've started to sign up for an app through somebody, please take the time - often just a couple of minutes - to finish what you started. Not only will this ensure that both you and/or your referrer receive the bonuses, but It will also prevent you from being ineligible for them in the future as you are no longer considered a "new member." See below for just a few screenshots from my apps of people who started to sign up vs. folks who completed the 1-2 required steps to earn the bonuses. And as you know from these articles and my app posts, I provide all the details. Here are just three examples

Example 1: Scrambly - 689 people have signed up for the various Scrambly promos. Of them, 126 completed the $1-$5 cashout requirement, while 563 did not.

Example 2: An astonishing 4,146 people have signed up through me for MoneyLion, and I can't thank them enough as they've earned $5-$60 just as a signup bonus and helped me earn over $13K in referral bonuses to date. As you can see in the screenshot below, I could've earned $185K had the stars aligned and everybody completed their signup.

MoneyLion's promotion couldn't be easier, and I believe it's the only bank giving you a signup bonus without needing to deposit or spend anything! You get a $5 $10 signup bonus just by signing up and opening a RoarMoney checking account. Approval is instant, and bonuses are received within 1-3 business days. Easily earn an extra $50 by transferring $100+ via direct deposit OR through an external transfer from Current or Found apps.

3) Please recognize you're dealing with human beings. Your referrer is not a piggy bank. There's a good chance they depend on referral bonuses to make ends meet for themselves and/or their families. By and large, referrers' missions are to earn referral bonuses while offering referees the opportunity to earn signup and/or referral bonuses. They should not be expected to give blessings, be your payday lender, etc. I personally never loan money after being scammed multiple times, nearly always by longtime referral friends whom I believed I could trust. My value lies in the Referral World opportunities and information I provide.
