I wrote this post because many preachers, Bible teachers, prophecy teachers, and Bible students may feel that because they studied some Greek or Hebrew in college, they have the right to change God's Holy Spirit-inspired Preserved Words, the King James Bible. God gives us some scary warnings about changing His Word! Please read further to find out why.
Bold in Scripture verses is for emphasis.
1. The authors of the Bible were inspired by God’s Holy Spirit to write the actual words God gave them to write in His Holy Bible.
2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as They were moved by the Holy Ghost.
2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
2. The authors of the Bible knew Hebrew and Greek better than you could ever know those languages because they lived every day of their lives speaking those languages!
3. Since God inspired these men to write the Bible in the Hebrew and Greek languages that were used during their lifetimes; who are you to say that the words they used were an “unfortunate translation” or “mistranslated"?
God's Holy Spirit inspired those men to write the words that God wanted written in His Holy Word!
I guess it should not be a surprise to us that in these End Times that spiritual leaders, college professors, and worldly scholars are causing people to doubt God’s Word. Now that Satan’s time is running short, his biggest target is the True Word of God, the King James Bible! Whyelse is it the onlyBible that is hated?
Read the book 'Did the Catholic Church Give Us The Bible?' by David W. Daniels to learn the truth about the two streams of Bible history of the Word of God, and why we need to know the truth about which Bible is God's Holy Unchanging Word.
Also, please read my post called "Proofs the KJV is the Word of God", which lists a number of resources (YouTube videos, online articles, books, DVDs, etc.) that will help you find answers for yourself, plus notes from me on what I have learned as I studied about the different Bible versions and Bible history.
The King James Bible was around for hundreds of years before sinful mankind decided that the Bible needed editing to change or remove what they didn't like! Wow. I don't know about your God, but my God is all knowing; and I would trust what He had to say over what some professor or preacher thinks God's Word should say! I sure wouldn't want to change God's Words that He gave us through His Holy Spirit.
In the Garden of Eden Satan tempted Eve to doubt God’s Words by asking her, “Yea, hath God said?”
(Genesis 3:1). Consequently, she doubted God's Words and thought she knew better than God what was good for her; and so she chose to sin against God. Today Satan is still tempting you to doubt God’s Words (the preserved words of God, the KJB) by asking you the same question that he asked Eve, perhaps through a college professor, teacher, preacher, or author.
4. God promised us many times that He would preserve His Word forever. And God cannot lie!
Psalm 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 12:7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
Psalm119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
Psalm 119:89 LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Jesus Christ's words are in italics
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 1:24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: 1:25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
Do you believe God lied in all these Bible verses where He promised that He would preserve His Word FOREVER? The Bible tells us that God cannot lie. One example:
Numbers 23:19(a) God is not a man, that he should lie;
5. There is also nothing God cannot do, and that includes preserving His holy Bible down through the ages.
Jeremiah 32:17 Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
Jeremiah 32:27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
Mark 10:27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
6. Before you change one of the words in the King James Bible because you think you know better than God what He 'meant' to say, I beg you to keep reading and find out why that is a bad idea.
Perhaps you are thinking that you are not adding or taking away words from HisBible. But, if you change God's Words (using alexicon or a Greek dictionary, etc.), you are "taking away" God's Words and adding your own choice of words! In essence, you are playing God and writing your own bible!
God says that scripture (the HolyBible) is not of any private interpretation meaning that if you or your professor or some lexicon writer are creating your own private interpretation of the Bible when you rewrite whatGod said He preserved forever, you are creating your own bible interpreting what you think God should have said!
2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
The Bible God preserved forever(the King James Bible) was given to men who were inspired by God's Holy Spirit to write the WORDS God gave them to write! And God preserved those words so we would have them down through every generation!
Think about this:What kind of a cruelGod would deprive millions of people for thousands of yearsfrom having His HolyWord that would show them how to get to heaven and how to avoid going to hell? But God is not cruel, otherwise He would not have sacrificed His only begotten Son, JesusChrist, to shed His Sinless blood on the cross to pay for our sins! That kind of loving God would not deprive billions of people through the centuries of how to spend eternity in heaven!
And it is ridiculous to think that that kind of loving God would allow those people to die in their sins and spend eternity in hell just soHe could wait until some bible scholars would be born to tell us what God neglected to tell us - 'their' new interpretations of theBible (that change every year or so) because printing bibles is big business! Those who trust the King JamesBible, which has not changed in hundreds of years, have no need to buy updated versions when we have the exact wordGod wanted us to know! It makes it sound like God did not know what Hewas doing when Heinspired His Holy Bible, and that Hehad to wait for modern scholars to take over for God and tell us where God made mistakes in HisHoly Word! What arrogance!
Now, please for those of you who are just now thinking about this subject, please be aware of God's scary warnings of what will happen to you if you change, add,or delete words inHis Holy Preserved Word, the King James Bible!
Revelation
22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
The Bible also tells us that God does what He says He is going to do! That means that God will do what He has warned us about in the verses above.
Numbers 23:19(b)...hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
If you have changed God'sWord or are using one of the new bible versions that change His Word
every year or so, please stop and buy yourself a 'text only' (without man's notes) King JamesBible. Then askGod's forgiveness for doubting HisWord that He saidHe would preserve for every generation forever!
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness.
God bless you, dear reader! I Hope this message was helpful to you.
