What's On My Mind #30

Feb 06, 2022

Hello,

What's On My Mind is a weekly newsletter where I share some of my thoughts, stories, and ideas to raise awareness; enable personal growth; nourish an open mind; encourage self-discovery; and empowering myself and others with individual responsibility.

"Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity" - Martin Luther King, Jr.

I hope you find them of any use.

Alignment
The last couple of weeks I have been very busy with the final stage of the little book I am writing.
Alignment arose from my desire to create order out of chaos, my personal challenges in daily life, a fascination for philosophy and nature, my work experience as a manager for various gyms and my acquired knowledge about people and health as a self-employed (personal ) trainer and coach. I've had the idea of Alignment for a long time. At a time when polarization and meaninglessness are rampant and autonomy and freedom are under pressure, the idea has managed to manifest itself to the forefront of my life. In this little book I try to give shape to my vision and mission. Alignment consists of the following parts:

Growth - Aurora coaching.
Selfknowledge and personal development.

Connection - Moonlight society.
Philosophy.

Enrichment - Yggdrasil knowledge center.
A place where knowledge is stored.

Implementation
A list of implementations based on the Alignment principles in the near future.

In this little book I go in to details about health, awareness and how to acquire selfknowledge. I expect it to be online on this platform in the next week. For now it will only be available in dutch. I hope to translate it in english in the near future. It will function as a starting point for new projects.

Teachings & Insights
Tao Te Ching - 3 -

If you overesteem great men,
people become powerless.
If you overvalue possessions,
people begin to steal.

The Master leads by emptying people's minds and filling their cores,
by weakening their ambition and thoughening their resolve.
He helps people lose everything they know, everything they desire,
and creates confusion in those who think that they know.

Practice not-doing, and everything will fall into place.

Video - Hemp
Hempitecture is one of a growing number of companies using hemp for its durability, versatility, and sustainability as a building material. Hemp-based insulation products are as effective at insulating buildings as common insulators like fiberglass, and they’re significantly better for the environment.

Hemp is a natural product that doesn’t contain toxic chemicals as some synthetic insulation does. What’s more, growing the crop removes carbon from the atmosphere. In fact, hemp is about twice as effective at sequestering carbon as trees.

“Does a man who is acting on the stage in a female part forget that he is a man? Similarly, we too must play our parts on the stage of life, but we must not identify ourselves with those parts.” Ramana Maharshi, Be As You Are

Did you know...
Cholesterol is a necessary part of human existence.

Cholesterol is essential for the body's production of pregnenolone, progesterone, cortisol, DHEA, testosterone, estrone, estradiol and estriol. If the body is stressed and the adrenals are not working properly from under nutrition or physical exhaustion, the cholesterol levels will physiologically increase to attempt to manufacture more DHEA and cortisol (both adrenal hormones). If the thyroid is under performing, then the cholesterol levels increase to compensate by making more of the other hormones. If a woman has polycystic ovaries with an imbalance of testosterone over estrogen, the cholesterol increases. And if a man is low in testosterone or becomes diabetic, his cholesterol increases. The main point here is that high cholesterol is a sign that the body's hormones are not in balance.
