There is a little tension in the air, can you feel it?

It’s the energy of the month as everything shifts and changes.

The added Energy of the the next full moon on the 28th January is creating a truly powerful shedding to take place. It’s as though the inner world in which we dwell, is being shaken about like a maraca at Mardi Gras!!

The January Wolf moon joins a planetary alignment that creates quite a time of feeling aggravated and prickly. So it is very important to use patience, responsibility, and self-control to avoid anger and impulsiveness causing harm to yourself and others.

I sense this Full Moon will create an insatiable need to meet your passionate desires. But dynamism and a fighting spirit can make you short-tempered. A subconscious urge to act impulsively brings danger from risk-taking. Extra care is required.

However, holding onto anger is not wise. Try to release your heated feelings in a controlled way. Journal, exercise, screaming it out.... cry... Courage is needed to face whatever is causing you pain or making you feel threatened. Temper tantrums, accidents, cuts, or burns, would be signs of not dealing with your emotional troubles. Get the emotion out!

Avoid being overly defensive or mean when others share their hurt feelings. But this is not easy, so some degree of emotional discomfort may occur, especially in intimate relationships.

The Full Moon opposite Jupiter however can make you feel happy, relaxed, sociable, and generous. But it can also bring overconfidence, lack of self-control. Be mindful. Be aware of impulsive actions, purchases, decisions. The square to Mars means these less desirable effects will predominate. The strength lies within water tight boundaries, intention, self discipline and care.

Being more willing to share your feelings and less guarded about your privacy could be an urge, just be careful of who you share your most intimate feelings with.

Generosity and kindness may be taken advantage of, so again boundaries.

Emotional discomfort, poor self-image, a questioning of beliefs, jealousy, and obsessive, excessive, or addictive behaviors are also possible. So again be mindful, journal about any such feelings and burn the paper. It might be a nudge to get the support you need or to seek help in other ways. It’s important to listen to your feelings and address your needs.

Listening to your own heart, prioritizing your comfort, and putting aside time for self-care is exactly what you need to sort through the full moon feelings.

Full moons represent the completion of a cycle, the fullness of time, harvest...but also menstruation and the emptying of the chalice. Clearing old energy to make way for new life, creation, fire and spirit. This coupled with a the Aquarian energy and the walk toward it, pushes us to acknowledge the shadow aspects of our past, present and future. Taking responsibility for our energy and the energy of that which we surround ourselves with.

When we consider our shadow aspects, in this I mean those parts of ourselves we just don’t like very much, we also look at the things we feel guilt or regret about. The actions we might change given the opportunity to go back in time. Our hidden life, our shame. It’s only in the shadow because we choose to put it there.

If you examine your shadow closely there will be treasure there, you are who you are because of what you’ve overcome. Is it time to forgive yourself and embrace your more challenging side?

Bringing our skeletons out of the closet and seeing them as friends, can be the most empowering act. Accepting your less favourable habits, mannerisms, actions or personality traits is the most liberating thing you could do to free yourself.

Loving the difficult bits as much as your shiny bits! Loving the whole. I make it sound easy..... I know it’s a conscious choice and in part just realising what you consider shadows can be uncomfortable. However as Oprah quite rightly says;

“you cannot live a brave life without making someone feel uncomfortable”

and that person who feels uncomfortable might just be you!. Time to shake it all up a bit.

Between now and the full moon I offer you the opportunity to recognise that which you might not like about yourself, in all its glorious technicolour. Own it. Name it. Embrace it.

#Write an apology letter to anyone you hold guilt or regret toward, for whatever reason. Then burn it with the intention of sending that love and forgiveness to the person it’s meant for.

#Write a letter to yourself, release the energy of shame, sorrow, regret, guilt. Just let it flow and let it go. I mean it. The biggest part of forgiving yourself for things of the past is accepting that you can’t change it. It is what it is. However you can give love and forgiveness to whatever situation you wish.

There is of course the fable of the Phoenix as it burns to the floor, lost in its own fire. But from the ashes it will rise. You will Rise. You must. Your Transformation and rebirth are yours for the taking. Just choose it. Become the woman or man of your dreams.

Wow.......breathing deep. Going into reflection.

The moon is our mirror and as we go through this process of change and transformation we must find stillness. Time to look at ourselves as we really are. As we see, so we create and looking for the positives is our biggest tool in healing ourselves.

Be in the flow of a new energy as the Full Moon burns through the malaise of not knowing. Be standing strong, accepting that we all have light and dark and at time the dark is our biggest ally in overcoming obstacles, creating boundaries, saying No!, moving on. The more light, the bigger the shadow. Know it and love it just the same.

The ego might fight you, tell you I’m simplifying things, tell you I’m wrong...but that is because it knows when you embrace and accept your shadow...the ego is dead. You are then whole. Coming from a place of heart. Courage. Love. Deliberate kindness and care.

Heading in the direction of your joy. Without burden. Without doubts.

Ho'oponopono is an ancient Hawaiian prayer used for healing, transformation and increased inner-peace and self-love.

It's a simple yet powerful way to bring healing and forgiveness into your life stream. It seeks to bring harmony, love and balance into relationships. It was traditionally used to heal relationships between two or more people.

Each person would say the Ho'oponopono mantra to the other. But it is also a powerful way to heal the relationship you have with yourself, to send out the intention a relationship with another heal, and to clear the energy of past hurts and traumas.

​In Hawaiian culture it is believed that withholding forgiveness leads to disease and disharmony. In many ways this prayer loosely translates as "to make right again."

You can use it to find peace from a situation in which another person caused you pain. Or you can use it on yourself, to forgive yourself for things you feel you've done wrong (even as a way to ease out of self-hate and let yourself know you care about you), and as a way to bring more love into your life.

Ho'oponopono involves a simple mantra:

Please forgive me.

I'm so sorry.

I love you.

Thank you.

It doesn't matter if you seek to forgive someone or you seek self-forgiveness, the mantra works for all situations. The words are a way of clearing energy for the person saying the prayer. No matter who was involved or what happened, this will remove the associated energies on your end, and is a way of saying to the Universe, "I no longer allow these dark and heavy energies to live in my body or my life stream."

Another powerful ally is Rose Quartz to ease the release of old energy and replace it with love. Keep this with you while working through this energy. Gently ask it to support you in whatever way you feel you need.
