In Vicenza and Bassano
This week, my oldest son and I began reaching the people of these towns for Christ. While there, we are also scouting out housing availability for the family and the next season of ministry. Pray for the souls we are encountering with the gospel.
Praise God. We got to distribute a couple hundred tracts and evangelize a handful of people downtown. God gave us some open doors, and for this we are grateful.
We got to challenge people’s secular-humanist worldview and point them to Christ and the gospel, which they never heard. We got to encourage a man who is a slave to wine. He understands the gospel and even frequented an evangelical church in Milan a few years back. Marco is his name. He seems trapped. Pray for strong deliverance. If he is saved, the light of Christ in him is dim as he struggles just to survive another day.
This is just another morning as a missionary church planter.
Now imagine with me a band of missionaries, unified in purpose, serving together as the body of Christ. In this case, every day gospel literature is going out all over the towns. Every day evangelism is happening in various parts of the town. Free English courses are being given throughout the week. Short-term teams are hosted as much as possible. Lost sheep are sought out and found. Bible studies are happening from house to house. And every Lord’s Day we gather to worship God, hear the Word, and fellowship. Throughout the week, we break bread and share meals as we advance the kingdom together.
Join us in prayer for the formation of the next missionary team for the next church plant. The Lord doesn’t need us to do His work, but He does call us to participate and join Him in the work. In His sovereign plan, He has chosen to use individuals and families as His primary instruments of grace. SDG
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” - Matthew 9:37-38
