Making sense of modes

I have wanted to do a lesson on modes for a while now, and finally here it is. I see a lot of confusion regarding modes, when really it is quite a simple concept. In this lesson, I will be looking at the seven modes of the major scale. I will show you what modes really are and how we can use them to create more interesting melodies that can actually shape the harmony of a song. You will come away from this lesson with a better understanding of how melody relates to harmony. This way, you can advance from the intermediate guitarist trap of just thinking about what shape to play over a chord.
