Hi coffee buyers :)
I just realized I could come here
to say thank you.
It may seem like a small thing,
a virtual cuppa or two.
But (as a rabbi last night
at a rally for Ukraine reminded us)
Judaism, which guides so much
of my life – more so each day –
is not a religion that values grand
gestures so much as small acts
of acknowledgment and kindness,
for kindred and stranger alike.
Every single time someone
"buys me a coffee,"
I feel a pang of connection
and appreciation, a remembering
that my words matter to someone –
you!
And this is why I keep writing them.
Love,
Jena
