About John's Red Bus
Hi my name is John Parker, I am of mixed European background (Polish and Italian). Growing up I spent time in different countries around the world.
When the Russia launched their full scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 I was deeply affected and compelled to help.
The main reason for this is my granddad was a WWII war orphan at the age of 9. His family torn apart from the farm they lived in Eastern Poland. He lost both his parents, his father died fighting against the Red Army and his mother of starvation.
He was rescued by a charity organisation and sent to a child refugee camp near Mount Kilimanjaro in Kenya, Africa. After spending 6 years there his older brother (who went to fight in the Polish army) arranged for him to come to UK, that's where they both remained after the war ended.
Please follow us on social media, just search John's Red Bus!
We have travelled to Ukraine 24 times since the Russian invasion in February 2022.
We've supplied over 100 tonnes of aid.
Transported over 40 refugees and 30 animals.
Supplied 45 vehicles.
We've also provided continued support for all the refugees we've helped and also others that have contacted us via social media or contacts. We've reunited families and delivered important packages with personal possessions.
Any donations are greatly welcomed, the more we receive, the more we can do! :-)
