Woah!

Jun 07, 2022

I have always been an avid book reader. And when I say "always" I literally mean that. I've been reading books since I can remember. In kindergarten I was already reading full books, short stories, etc. By the time I was 8, I discovered The Hardy Boys mysteries and Encyclopedia Brown. A few years later, I was reading The Three Investigators. Sure, I read The Chronicles of Narnia, The Foundation stories and more, but I always came back to mysteries.

With this background, I am pleased to announce that I am currently working on creating a podcast that will feature me reading old classic stories from the early part of the 20th century. The focus at first will be stories from the great catalog of Dime Novels and pulp fiction. Many of these publications featured early science fiction, detective stories, westerns and romance. Several were written by names like Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, HG Wells and others. All these books and stories are found on the Project Gutenberg website and are in the public domain, so no royalties are required.
