My favourite parts of TV shows, movies, and books have always been witnessing amazing people coming together to accomplish great things. I like seeing how "the best of us" handle adversity, interact with each other, and stand up for the little guy. I find preparing for the quest almost as exciting as the quest itself and derive great satisfaction from seeing the good guys win, something that doesn't always happen in real life.
When I couldn't find enough of that out in the ether, I created it myself and spent over a year writing a book based on those tenets. Then I discovered how hard it would be to give that story the proper attention it deserves before sharing it with the world. It takes a village and the services of the amazingly talented people in that village are expensive. Beta-readers, editors, proofreaders, and others all help make the story the best it can be. I am but a humble family man with a small woodworking business and I fear I might not have the funds required to give my story the backing it deserves.
