I have created a QR Code Generator for Google Colab.
I created this QR code generator after needing a reliable QR code for my sister’s beauty salon business card. At first, I used an online tool, but the QR code soon became unavailable due to issues with the service, which meant we had to reprint some of the cards.
I also wanted to create QR codes for her social media profiles. That experience motivated me to build a local solution that is reliable, reusable, and fully under my control.
Many online QR code generators look free at first, but important features are often locked behind subscriptions.
Some platforms require you to create an account, limit downloads, add branding, or charge monthly fees for editable links, analytics, and campaign management.
This Google Colab notebook offers a simpler alternative for people who only need reliable static QR codes and want more control over how they are created.
