Recently, I got a consulting client. Vaibhav Bhojak, a UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) aspirant, reached out to me to discuss starting his writing journey on Medium.
We also discussed online business possibilities, YouTube, SEO, and the potential opportunities and returns of writing high-quality articles.
It was a great experience talking to him, sharing my advice, getting to know him and his future plans, and learning from his knowledge and experience.
When I started writing professionally in 2018, I never dreamed of this day.
I never thought I would get a client who would find me because of my online work.
I never thought I would have the opportunity to guide a UPSC aspirant, being a school dropout myself.
The best part,
My client didn’t judge me (unlike many who might) for not being as formally educated as he is.
He values real education and understands that one can learn outside the traditional school system or without pursuing a degree.
He understands that I worked hard by learning through practical experience, taking action, and reading articles and books.
I loved talking to him; he inspired me to keep moving forward. It was a win-win situation for us. We both learned from each other and most importantly, we enjoyed talking to each other.
I felt deeply grateful and even emotional hearing a stranger praise my work.
I’ll always be available to talk to him, and if he wants, I’ll help him for free whenever I have the time. I know I’ll also learn a lot from him in return.
