It's amazing how much more you can accomplish with the right kind of help! Below, is photo of my happy face in the vocal booth at the Orchard Recording Studio in the tiny town of Enniscorthy, a 30-minute drive from my place in Wexford.
Brandon (the owner of the studio and recording engineer) and I have now recorded 8 of my songs! 3 more to go and then I'll have 11 in total; 10 with Brandon and 1 with my friend Igor in Paris.
It blows my mind to be at this stage of creating my album. In a way, it feels surreal and in another way, it feels like the most natural thing I've ever done.
Surreal because I never considered myself a song-writer. I saw myself more as a story teller, and even more, someone who adds to other people's art.
But then, when all the big life changes came and shook my perspectives and feelings, a different kind of light begun to shine through the cracks and I begun to have a different kind of voice. My voice.
I am infinitetly grateful for these songs and for you, for helping me bring them out into the world. Your financial support and encouragement mean the world to me. Thank you!
