Be sensitive to the people around you, be compassionate and have empathy. But one can only be truly selfless and loving when they drop the mind or keep the mind in its place. Otherwise, what we call selfless action also may have a hidden motive or reward.

I think in loving another you will love the whole humanity, which is the idea of loving everybody is of very little meaning if we don't know how to love one, our child, our husband, our wife, neighbor. After all, the one is the whole. This idea of cosmic love, loving mankind is really a rationalization of the lack of love in one's heart for another. It is an easy escape of the reformer, of the humanist, the moralist and the righteous and I think that is our trouble that we really don't know how to love another...
