Where can we find you right now and what are you up to?
It’s Sunday, I’m currently chilling at home on the bed watching the second suicide squad movie.
Tell us a bit about your influences.
our core is rooted in rock music. We’re really influenced by artists who have a bold identity and aren’t afraid to stand out, Queens of the Stone Age, MUSE, Biffy Clyro, Nick Cave. We all grew up with Zeppelin, and AC/DC too which like pure OG rock music. Having been teens in the 00s the emo/alt rock scene was huge and the drama and grandeur of bands like MCR and GREENDAY will always find is way into a piece of our music somewhere.
How did you start?
We all met at music college as teenagers back in like 2010, at the end of the course we struck up Luna Kiss in a bid to become rock stars… that dream and passion is still going.
What obstacles does an emerging artist have to face in our time?
We grew up as a generation listening to CDs and people complained about how the good old days of big vinyl had gone. We’re now in an age of streaming where I’d long to be back in a place that’s primary form of connection was an actually tangible product not a digital swipe on a phone.
I think the real challenge more than ever is getting people enthusiastic about the raw of live rock and roll. With everything at our fingertips it’s so easy to be lazy and miss out on incredible opportunities in the real world.
As digital consumption increases it’s becoming increasing difficult to find ways of monetising music to sustain artists.
God that sounds bleak!
What worked for you marketing-wise? What advice or tips would you give to new artists?
There are so many blogs and articles out there that tell you you must do this or that to get noticed and build a following. We’ve tried A LOT and what my advice would be is, be authentic to your brand and do things that A resonate with you in a way that feels comfortable and achievable, and B can be sustained with either your time or money. The SMART tactic is something that is easy to apply and gives you a proper framework to build your marketing ideas around.
What are your goals? Where do you see yourself in five years?
We’ve been going since 2011 and we’ve had some great peaks and many luls. In 2022 we build a whole strategy that we thought would really elevate us to the next level. It was costly in time and emotions and sucked a lot of the passion out of this band. Don’t get me wrong, we’re so proud of our achievements and lessons have been learnt. Our goals now are straightforward, release a couple of singles a year that we’re proud of and represent the ethos and mantra of the band, shoot some awesome videos and gig the right shows to reach the right people.

Tell us about your latest or upcoming release.
We’re actually “in between releases” at present haha.
So last year we released 5 tracks and 5 music videos for the Lust For Blood EP. We’re still championing those tracks as we don’t feel the cycle is over and there’s still so much those tracks can do. We’re also sat on a couple of new songs just trying to come up with a strategy that works for release. So stay tuned on those too!
