Tell us a bit about your influences.
Around 2010 when I got into electronic music was mainly because DJ BL3ND who made YouTube videos mixed Dirty Dutch Music I followed him for a few years after a Hungarian Duo called SaberZ was my big inspiration for making Big Room music!
How did you start?
I started with Fruity Loops 10. Randomly tried to make some music and as time passed I kept following Big Room, I learned from FLP's which are downloadable projects made by other artists. And I learned how they mix sounds and build the whole song which elements work for the best for different parts. I mostly only made mashups and mixes/sets which were uploaded to Mixcloud before my final name became ''Holiwan'' I only started to upload music around 2019 & 2020 and here I am.
What obstacles does an emerging artist have to face in our time?
To be an artist is never easy. I think one of the hardest parts is staying relevant and promoting yourself to be known in the beginning.
What worked for you marketing-wise? What advice or tips would you give to new artists?
I'm not self-promoting myself so my music does not reach too many places. But my advice collab with other people's try free networks & records there are many of them on SoundCloud and YouTube send your music to them and if you get rejected don't give up!
What are your goals? Where do you see yourself in five years?
My goal is to be more known and bring that kind of festival music that gives you energy! I have a long way to go in quality and sound-wise to bring out the best of me! For the next 5 years I try to break that boundary and release more music and better quality also I want to start uploading my works to YouTube! And maybe get a release on a big label!
Tell us about your latest or upcoming release.
I have 2 upcoming festival mixes coming up this year with llc3nt can't wait to show it! One of them has techno elements with a big kick & bass using nasty sounds and the other one is my usual big room!
