Mindset Newsletter #8 - A Winning Mindset: Your Mind is Your Greatest Asset!

Nov 29, 2024

Let me start with a crucial question: “Do you expect to win or lose?”

At first glance, this might seem like a straightforward question. Take a moment to think about your answer.

I often notice that many of my students express a mindset that suggests they don’t expect to succeed when presented with new opportunities. By default, this sets them up for failure.

Consider this common scenario during my initial coaching calls with new students who have just purchased one of my products (or a competitor’s product I might have recommended): “Well, we’ll see how this product works for me. The last one didn’t yield any results, so I hope I’m not in the same situation again.”

Does this sound like someone who is truly committed to making this new product succeed? Or does it indicate a lack of expectation for a different outcome than their previous experience?

The language you use is a reflection of your mindset and belief system. The words you express—consciously or subconsciously—reveal your thoughts.

What is Your Language?

Is it positive or negative? Do you find that every avenue you explore seems to lead to failure?

Let’s conduct a quick exercise: The Mirror Test.

Now, here’s another question for you: “What do you see in your mirror?”

Do you focus on every imperfection, worry, or failure? Or do you recognize the greatness that you are meant to embody?

Listen to what you tell yourself. Do you criticize yourself with statements like, “I’m overweight” or “I’m getting old”? Or do you stand tall and affirm, “I look great!”?

I believe that a mirror reflects much more than a surface image. If you truly pay attention to your inner dialogue while looking in the mirror, you’ll discover that it reveals your deeper thoughts and beliefs—it's a window into your soul.

I challenge you, the next time you stand before a mirror, to listen to the voice within and note what it says. You might be surprised at what you discover.

When I look in the mirror now, I see someone entirely different from the person I used to see. I’m continually working on myself, and I can confidently say that I’ve come a long way. I know you will too!

To Your Success,
