Acerca de Hold Trainer
Hi — I'm Ross, the pilot behind HoldTrainer, a free browser tool for practicing IFR holding-pattern entries.
I built it because I was working toward my instrument rating and couldn't find a clean way to drill direct, parallel, and teardrop entries on demand. The existing tools were either buried inside paid courses or printable PDFs from 2003. So I built one that runs in your browser, scores you against the FAA AIM 5-3-8 rule, throws in non-standard left-turn holds, and includes a 10-question Checkride mode.
No accounts. No tracking. No ads. Just open the page and practice.
If it helped you nail an entry on a checkride or in actual IMC, a coffee keeps the lights on (and funds the Hold simulator I'm building next). Thanks for stopping by. ☕
Blue skies and tailwinds.
