ickledot’s first international since a Women’s Six Nations game just before Covid struck, and what a great game! This was England Under 19s playing France at Castle Park, Doncaster.
Hard fought throughout, the scores were only separated at the end by three points, a French first half penalty ultimately proving crucial. Well done to both sides, whose skills delighted a substantial crowd, bathed in warm spring sunshine the whole afternoon.
You might need a coffee and a sit down to look at the pictures. There are far more than usual, what with the pre-match warm-up, the anthems and the post-match formalities. Although featuring the England team mainly, there are quite a few of the France squad, from the other end of the pitch, of course. Enjoy!
