Hey 👋
I want to share something I've been quietly working on since early April: Amalgadon — a free web tool for Hearthstone Battlegrounds players to plan boards, browse cards, and share builds.

Why I built it
Battlegrounds has become complicated. Between heroes, minions, trinkets, spells, buddies, Spellcrafts, Darkmoon Prizes, and Quests — there's a lot to keep track of. I wanted a single place to plan boards before queuing, reference cards without leaving the browser, and share builds with my friends in Discord without pasting a wall of text.
Nothing quite did what I wanted, so I built it.
What it does
Board Builder — drag minions into 7 slots, mark them golden, toggle Taunt / Divine Shield / Reborn / Windfury, set up cycle slots for minions you rotate mid-game, pick a hero, attach a Lesser and Greater trinket, name your board, write strategy notes in Markdown (with card link previews), and share with one click. Boards get a short URL like /build/abc123. No account needed, nothing to install.
Card Reference — full browsable pages for minions, heroes, trinkets, spells, and Spellcrafts. Hero pages include hero power details, tribe synergies, strategy tips, difficulty ratings, buddy minions, and dedicated Signature Mechanic modules (Denathrius quests, Tickatus Darkmoon Prizes, Jim Raynor's Battlecruiser upgrades, Morchie/Murozond Timewarp Cards, Yogg-Saron's Wheel). Minion pages have strategy tips, tribe synergies, and linked card mentions.
Shared builds — view counts, upvotes/downvotes, rich-text strategy notes with inline card art previews, embeddable iframes for other web pages, and a transparent-background PNG export ready to drop into OBS.
Patch notes — snapshot diffs showing exactly which cards changed between patches, with a clear banner when a Hearthstone patch had no Battlegrounds changes.
Card stats — aggregate stats drillable by tribe, tier, and keyword.
Hero tier list — Season 13 community tier list.
Public REST API — three endpoints, documented on the Developers page, for anyone who wants to build on top of the card data.
HDT Plugin — a Hearthstone Deck Tracker plugin that reads your current board mid-game and opens it directly in the builder.
What's next
Still a lot I want to do — more hero and minion content, better search, possibly a community builds feed. I update it most days.
If you want to say thanks
The app is free and will stay free. If you've found it useful and want to buy me a coffee, that link is in the Help modal on the site. It genuinely helps with hosting costs and motivates me to keep going.
Thanks for reading.
