Lady Jasmin Adelphia (Bringing back Beauty)

Concept illustration of Jasmin admiring a Jasmine plant. The name Jasmin is Persian and means, A gift from God(Just thought that I would throw that fact in because it was lovely!). ;)

Lady Jasmin Adelphia

was the daughter of a great nobleman, Clement, the Duke of Philadelphia, and her mother Verity. But one day, after the rebel takeover of the fair kingdom of Lufia commenced, her whole world changed drastically.

Her parents made the fatal attempt to defy the villains, and fell under the power of the rebel force. Now an orphan, Jasmin does the best she can eking out a living on her own by working at an inn and tending to her garden. She dreams of running her own café one day, but hardly knows just how or when she would find the means to do it.

Her most happy moments are her cherished memories of the past. The past, with her dear family living together in peace and harmony and when good old-fashioned principles were still alive.

But even those of her former acquaintance seem like strangers to her now. All except for one cousin, who alone of her family seemed to have escaped the rebellion unscathed. Together they, and a strange crew of misfit loyalists, band together to save the kingdom of Lufia. Will her father's dagger of defense be enough to save her in the face of danger? Or will she need something far more powerful to protect her from, not only the enemy at hand, but her enemy of self?

Jasmin is adventurous, spunky, and has a gift for being able to care, comfort, and reason with people.

Comparing my first picture of Jasmin in 2016 to my latest illustration in 2023. I've had this story in mind for a long time! And my drawing style looks like it has come a long way! ;) Fun fact about the first image is that it was the first time I had drawn a quartered mouth. I was so delighted with it! Artist milestones...hehe! ;)

This was my very first sketch of this story. Might even have been my very first attempt at a graphic novel page! Hehe! I'll have to take better pictures of it later and show you my first beginnings of this story. The episode you see would actually make a good pilot chapter (On my to do list!).

Well...I guess that will be it for this post! Please let me know what you think by leaving me a comment. I can't express enough how much they mean to me! I hope you all will have a wonderful day!
