In the 50s Kodak completely dominated. For the average person no other photographic company existed. Many years later I read a quote attributed to George Eastman “we will make photography as simple as the pencil”. As far as I’m concerned, he delivered on that promise.
Photography has now become something we have forced into a little yellow box. Making pictures is always a subjective process. How we define that process is the journey.
The emphasis becomes not only what you captured but how you captured it. No pressure
