The Things We Usually Rush Past
We spend so much of our days trying to get somewhere.
To finish the task.
To reach the next place.
To get through the morning.
To make it to the weekend.
And somewhere in between, we miss the little things happening right in front of us.
The sunlight moving across the wall.
The smell of something cooking in the kitchen.

A neighbour watering their plants.
The sound of rain starting outside.
A few quiet minutes before everyone wakes up.
None of these moments ask for our attention. They simply happen.
Maybe that’s why they’re so easy to overlook.
Today, I’m trying to slow down just enough to notice them.
Not every moment needs to be photographed or written about. Some moments can simply be experienced.
A reminder to myself: life isn’t only the places we’re going.
It’s also everything we pass along the way. 🤍
