A Few Pages Before Bed
There is something comforting about ending the day with a book.
Not because I need to finish a chapter.
Not because I need to read a certain number of pages.
Just because it feels nice to have a few quiet minutes with a story before the day disappears.
Sometimes I read for twenty minutes.
Sometimes it’s only three pages before my eyes start getting heavy.
And sometimes I don’t read at all — I just sit there with the book open and enjoy the quiet.
I think we put too much pressure on hobbies too.
Reading doesn’t have to become a challenge. Journaling doesn’t need to be perfect. A walk doesn’t need to reach a certain number of steps.
We can simply enjoy things.

So tonight, I’m choosing a few pages, a warm drink, and a little less scrolling.
Nothing productive.
Just something peaceful.

Maybe that’s enough. 🌙
