Firstly, I'd like to start this post by thanking each and every one of you that has supported me through the buymeacoffee page to date. Every time a coffee drops in my inbox it just massively pumps me to keep pushing the development of the website, which brings me to the point of today's post...
Email notifications are coming!
One of the features I've been working on recently are email notifications for your countdowns. Soon, logged in users only, will be able to set a date for an email notification of your countdown finishing that'll drop into straight into your inbox. Reminders are so useful for future events so I felt this could be really beneficial feature to add to the site.
I feel like this feature should for logged in users only as it'll use the email address from your user account, rather than having to type out an email address each time. That's how I'll initially launch the feature anyway but I'm open to feedback so drop me a line.
Emails would be sent around 09:00/10:00 in the morning so you have plenty of time to prepare for your event, especially if you set a reminder for the day before. You can set reminders from 1 - 30 days, then up in intervals of ten all the way up to 100 days to go.
It's currently in testing so I hope this will be live on the website in the next couple of weeks. Watch this space!
