How am I going to end the year? I am going to end the year rebirthing myself and ready for 2024. While designing my altar coverings, my guides pointed out a joss paper design that truly made me smile. It was a good reflection of myself, really, and I couldn’t help but feel so warm inside. There are many things I’ve yet to do still, but when I look back at what I have done, I find myself feeling very accomplished. This year, I was able to check one thing from my bucket list: Become an award-winning author. Yeah…I celebrated that moment earlier this year when my book “A Collection of Tears,” received the silver award from Titan Literary and I remembered my heart nearly dropped when I read the email. That was my biggest moment of 2023 and I will never forget that I was coming back from grocery shopping with my husband at the local Wal-Mart and we had stopped at a red light. I began crying and he cried with me…my biggest moment of 2023.
Moments are wonderful to experience, especially good ones, because they remind you that you are capable of doing almost anything you set your mind to. It is a push to tell you that if you truly believe in the impossible, it can become very “possible” to do. The grandest thing in life is when you stand in the moment, feeling it and letting it soak in. I looked up to the sky that day and I said, “Mom, Dad…do you see? I did it. I put my name in paper and now the world sees it too.”
