ON GRATITUDE...

ON GRATITUDE...

Jan 08, 2023

Happy new year to all of you who've so generously supported Mike and I at Keystone Equine in the past year! Without you, I honestly don't know how we would be carrying on today. True story.

My BMAC stats are showing that of the 875 on my email list, a whopping seven of you opened and read the last one, so I'll not put a whole lot of info into this. I just want you all to know that I am so grateful to what you've done, the sharing and discussing of my Keystone posts with your friends, of being there on the spicy days when I need some support... and of stepping up to purchase my latest book, LOVE & RULES.

The book winged its way around the world to your mailboxes after our huge pre-Christmas pre-order campaign. Sending one's words and innermost thoughts, for that is what LOVE & RULES is, it's really a dear diary of all the life lessons that horses have taught me... is not for the faint of heart! I always feel as though my stories are going into safe hands and loving hearts, however, and I know that I am truly fortunate.

Going forward, I am planning to speak at two women's conferences in the near future, including NEW YEAR, NEW YOU in High River, AB later this week and for the SASKATCHEWAN DEPT of AGRICULTURE's annual conference in Maple Creek, early February. I'm not a seasoned speaker, so I'm really stepping out of my comfort zone! Plans are underway to open a new online store, perhaps under the auspices of my daughter's website at www.cattlecait.com. We've a few new horses and ponies coming onto the training docket, characters you'll love getting to know over on Keystone, and they will one day be available for purchase, if all goes well. We learned last summer that 'man plans and God laughs', as the old saying goes, so I'm not going too all-in or gung-ho with plans, forecasts and mighty resolutions. Instead, I've picked my word--my mini-mantra--for 2023...

BALANCE. :May we not give up too much of one good thing, in order to find another. I wish balance and wellness to each and every one of you. Shown here, a memory with Mike, the dogs Glen and Pan, and our late, great family favourite Cody.

Happy New Year, everyone,

Lee at Keystone.

PS: Buy Me A Coffee is the portal where you are able to share your thanks by way of donations that go directly to Keystone's daily operations. Those gifts in excess of $50 quality for a 'membership', along with admittance to our private group KEYSTONE MEMBERS ONLY. I do not accept people into the group who have not supported the program as you folks have done. You will be likely receive an email notification from BMAC when your annual 'membership' is up for renewal. This is entirely at your discretion and I surely don't want to pressure any of you, going forward! Thanks, again.immagine

Sorry, I forgot that the card that I used before I paid off and killed it as I found a card with a much lower interest rate.  That is how 2023 is going to go for me.  I'm playing the get out of debt card this year and hope that in the next 6 months, I will have a car payment and a house payment left in the debt category.  My old guy (horse) Ben is now fully retired at 24.  He has a lameness issue that I will be addressing next month and once the vet checks him over completely and logs in her opinion on possible treatments, a decision will be made.  Not to euthanize as other than lame when ridden, he is in beautiful shape.  He will just be doing light weight rider and sparse riding at that.  It will be long walks down back roads and much grass munching along with much brushing and TLC.  Otherwise, he will live out his years with his long time buddies.  My family is happy that I have taken to being on the ground not on the back of a horse, but am seriously considering a lesson program with school horses.  Hope your year is going great.

I really appreciate the reminder to join. Something I’ve wanted to do and then spaced it out. I love your books and have learned so much. I really do think about what you write and incorporate your methods in the circumstances that makes sense in terms of ability and progression. Your practicality and compassion is so inspiring. Also, is there a place for private messaging?

I will certainly have to pay more attention to your emails. I don’t want to miss yours. For some reason I thought the emails were only confirming my support. I think I’m still a supporter. I don’t remember my password. Yikes. .

I think there's an opportunity to reset our passwords through prompts, if it's a problem. I really appreciate your interest and your support! Cheers for now, Lee.

Pam, when one goes on my main BMAC page, and I'll give you the link below, there is an option to 'purchase a membership', either for $5 per month, or $50 annually. There's a choice there, with a bit of a discount for a one-time payment. I appreciate all support, however, no matter how small. Even one cup of coffee is a help! Thank you so much for enquiring! Cheers for now, Lee.  Here's the link.https://www.buymeacoffee.com/horsewoman
