Thank you for your kind support and messages. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about having a 'tip jar' account. I decided this is a way to give myself time to savor a cup of latte and have quiet alone time to think, to think about the small gifts we receive everyday with gratitude. I hope to share what I notice or work on with the extra coffee and thinking time.
This week, I stopped for a matcha latte and was so delighted to discover that Lucky's has also Valentine's Day cards that they designed and printed! What fun! And yes!, I purchased one. Some of my earliest art creations that I shared publicly were handmade greeting cards. For years, starting after high school, I hand-colored and hand-crafted cards small batches of Valentine's Day or Christmas for my personal use. My art, artmail, and card production have evolved, of course, but there's nothing better than a letter! I'm thankful for the encouragement to stop at the local coffee shop, spend more time being present in the community, share the support, and be reminded of my creative past.
