It's been a really difficult year and we live in interesting times. For me its been a year of change. In June, I took the difficult decision to leave my full time job of 10 years. I loved the school I worked in but the pandemic and the ever shifting goals from above led to my mental health suffering. I really miss the kids and the challenge of engaging them in history and seeing their successes but I don't miss the stress!
I have been really fortunate to be able to spend some time focusing on the History Teacher and it has gone from strength to strength this year. My wish for 2022 is to reach even more students and cover even more topics.
I want to thank a few people who have made my success possible, firstly my partner Paul without whom I would be a pile of jelly on the floor, my brother James whose unending enthusiasm for the History Teacher keeps me buoyed up, my amazing twitter followers including @KKNTeachLearn who produces amazing resources and has really supported me this year and finally some of my ex students including Ben who keep telling me they still watch my videos even though I don't teach them anymore! You are all amazing and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
All that's left is to wish you all a happy and restful Christmas and to hope for a better new year.
